Koza Mostra & Agathonas Iakovidis will represent Greece at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Alcohol Is Free.
Four songs battled it out in Ellinikόs Telikόs Eurosong 2013 in the Gazi Music Hall in Athens, for the honour of representing Greece in Europe's Favourite TV Show, and it was Alcohol Is Free by Koza Mostra & Agathonas Iakovidis that emerged as winner. - Zábava

He was from my hometown Thessaloniki and my mother's conservatory had invited him, as well as other major Greek traditional musicians like singer Lizetta Kalimeri, to teach there, but that coincided with his demise. May the man rest in peace. Also listen to his favourite student Koutsavakis who gained overnight fame after a wholesome interview in the Greek TV about how he got a fine from the cops for inviting a couple of friends at home after being tattled by a girl who was there's ex.

Jack Blake well... 2016's was such a huge fail that it didn't even make it to the finals.
I'm greek and gave up on our entries a year after alcohol is free. No money or will to get involved.
Apart from 2006, which it feels like was more just them proving they can kick ass when they want to, Greece is just having a party at Eurovision each year and not even trying to win. Despite that, they regularly produce some of the best songs each year

Όσο καλη και αν και ήταν και εκείνη, που αν και δεν μπορούσα να το αναγνωρίσω τότε ήταν επίσης φανταστική! Δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί υπάρχουν τόσο ξεροκέφαλοι Βρετανοί και αγγλοκατακτημένοι ξένοι στους οποίους αρέσει να ακούνε μόνο και μόνο σαχλά, μονότονα, τετριμμένα τραγούδια στα αγγλικά. Ως γέννημα-θρέμμα Βρετανός της κυπριακής καταγωγής 3ης γενιάς, έχω περισσότερα κοινά με τους Έλληνες και με τους Κύπριους παρά με τους δικούς μου συμπατριώτες συμπεριλαμβανομένων και των Αγγλοκυπρίων καθότι απαρνούνται τις ρίζες τους καθαρά από φόβο και σνομπάρουν ελληνικά. Υπάρχουν κι εξαιρέσεις αλλά ίσα ίσα έτσι λειτουργούν οι περισσότεροι καλώς ή κακώς. Nice try, yet not totally correct. Compare to the translation user Yorgos Papatheodorou provided a year earlier, it is almost perfect.
One should also mention, that Grevena is an inland town (because they imagine reaching it by boat).
