My all time favorite TBDM song. I was absolutely blown away the first time I heard it on my first listen to Nocturnal. Great playing as always!

Man, John wrote some absolutely great solos. All of them off Nocturnal are so good and I love your interpretations of them as well. You do good justice to already legendary solos and I don't think any other band in deathmetal does solos like Black Dahlia. Can't wait to hear what's to come with you and Ryan

@ancientgalaxy7697 Yo, check out Ralph Santollas solos on the Deicide album "The stench of redemption". There's a video of just the solos on here (weak album otherwise tbh) He was actually in Death too. Brandon's style is really similar.

Thank you for this. I was such a metal nerd I'd go around showing people this solo on my phone back in high school cause I thought it was so awesome. It took me forever to realize that I was just excited about what metal was teaching me about what music could be.

Thanks for putting all these black dahlia solos out! It is cool to be able to see how you actually play everything from picking to vibrato. You should put out your versions of the older solos, they're so much better than the original while keeping the same melody.

Hey Brandon, dunno if you answer questions, but I always wondered how you manage to play the TBDM riffs with your string gauge vs scale length: I understand the light strings help a lot with leads, but how do you manage to play the grindy and gallopy riffs so precisely? Do you pick lightly with small movements or the opposite? (I'm asking cus I've been struggling with this for years and I'm trying to correct my technique)
