Why didn’t The Walking Dead use the term zombie for the undead?

The Walking Dead is a TV serial released in the year 2010 by AMC but one fact that no one knows is that this TV series is also based on the story told in the comic book The Walking Dead released in the year 2003. Not to mention Unknown One thing most fans don't notice in The Walking Dead Series is that all the characters in The Walking Dead Series are referred to by some other name instead of Zombie. I have explained and watch it completely
