It's almost as hard as talk about Homura in half of the show without spoiler but I'll talk about Alina again here. -She's psychopath, that's her best part. -She's a normal girl who love art in high school. Has high talent and famous. -Someone admire or want to use her, some just think she's odd. -Alina is senpai. She's very good listener to other people story or problem. -But when she's at hospital, she only has one friend who come to visit. No one else care about her. -She join Wings of Magius after the Magius save her and she find beauty in witches, that's all. -The Magius and Iroha's team are some kind of "I am right, you're wrong" but like I said she's a very good listener. She look crazy but she listen to other people opinion or ideal more then those Magius girls. -She save ??? life or other people in secret more then once, she won't admit it of course. -She get along with Mifuyu the most. Again, she won't admit it. She say it's for her art because Mifuyu is her favorite model. In original game after Alina know that Iroha just want to find her sister she kinda regret what she did in this episode.
But didn't she actually gone completely crazy in the end though,I don't understand Japanese but I watched the Japanese play through for the story because I can't find a English play through for some later chapters.

When Alina was collecting Witches at the start, she acted and looked like the calm stoic girl I expected her to be from her appearance in the game intro.
Cause Alina luvs art and all what is awaiting this great hero in making wishes of hoomanz truw - to die lol. But Devil Homura is depressed cuz her girlfriend cannot understand her chaotic luv.

In her story aside from that the only thing we learn is that she didn't know what was the "theme" of her art (death)... and her wish.

She was fascinied with death because the people or other living creatures that died seemed as objects to her, objects that for her represent beauty. That's why she started to make art about death. She doesn't give a crap about others, because she thinks everything can become a piece of art and even thinks other artists are lame or don't talk about "real beauty". The only thing that bothers her is that others don't get what her art is about...that the death is beauty. That's why in her side story she wanted to kill herself and record it, not because she had a tragic or sad story, or because everyone despised her art (actually everybody loved her art althought they didn't know what it meant). She wanted to kill herself so everyone could see her as piece of her own art, the beauty in her corpse. That clearly shows that Alina is messed up and is pretty much a sociopath, maybe since she was a little child. Even Kyubey says her "mind is fine" compared to other humans because she lacks of most of the human emotions, even thought Kyubey doesn't get Alina's actions at all because they are neither emotional or logical.

How some thing alive becomes an object and how from something dead life grows (maggots fester on the corpse or flowers grow). She literally says how people who really understand her art can see it's full of life. She seems to be a sociopath who doesn't care about most people, but Karin is an exception. Despite her wish allowing her to be alone she would rather stay in the art club with Karin. For example: She helps Karin to grow as a person and a magical girl with her advices, she reads a manga she doesn't care about just because Karin gave it to her, or she helps Karin in her halloween theater (she literally got nothing from this but helping someone who needed her. And none of this times she had an internal monologe about her doing it for a personal reason). I'm not saying that Alina is a good person. Yes, she is a sociopath who doesn't care about other people life. But you are just giving one side of her character and ignoring the other.

Newfield Charlotte I like her in game. The problem with her in the anime is that that one frame where after she was happy, she became angry for a split second saying it annoyed her, and that just made me dislike her, I can’t tell you why other than that. First impressions matter and that ruined it for me.
