    • @Anon97123
      @Anon97123 Před měsícem

      @Pobaika go back and watch the clip rather than just reading the title. He said "until it's in City's hands" he has Liverpool and Arsenal as favourites.
      Basically, all he was saying was that he didn't expect BOTH Liverpool and Arsenal to slip up. He expected at least one of them to take advantage of the fact that they were in control of their own destiny. But if either of them slipped up at any point, then he knew City would be ready to pounce.
      That's why he said "until City are in the driver's seat." As in, there's nothing City would've done unless Arsenal and Liverpool slipped up, which they both did obviously.
      None of that is criticising City. He's always recognised the fact that they are gonna win the rest of their games. But yesterday he expected at least one of Liverpool or Arsenal to also win all their games. That didn't happen - they both bottled it - so now City are back in the driver's seat and should win the rest of their games like they always do.
      He's been pretty consistent with his opinion tbh. He was wrong obviously. He thought one of Arsenal or Liverpool would also win the rest of their games. But he's always said that City would win all their games. Dunno how you've taken it so badly unless you didn't actually watch what he said yesterday.

      He said "until it's in their hands, it's Arsenal or Liverpool's title to lose." He's not really saying anything controversial in either of these clips. Literally just that you have 3 quality teams that you'd expect to win all their games. So whoever's in first are in the driver's seat and should win the title.
      So when both Liverpool and Arsenal lost yesterday, that was a shock, City are the new favourites.
      He's not saying anything profound. Just stating the obvious that whoever's first is the favourites and because all these teams are so good, you'd expect them to take advantage of the fact that it's in their hands. Means if a team slips up, they've bottled it.

    Arsenal with 71 points ahead on goal difference from Liverpool also with 71 points. Yes there's only 2 points but after another 2 weeks you will get a better idea how will get close to the Premier League Title. Another loss for Arsenal or even Liverpool maybe then. But Man City could drop points but it only depends how they all respond to their rivals dropping points. The games that would be testing is Everton v Liverpool will be a crucial game then Tottenham v Arsenal a few days later them games they have to get through them. Man City have got Brighton away could be tough and also they got Nottm Forest away as well. There's tough games potentially there for all of them. By 29/04/24 will give you a better idea who will be more likely to be closer to win the title.

City are too good, fair play to them. Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Spurs have to spend the money to have 23+ world class players. City spent £90m on a defender who has rarely been a factor this season, but in 2 years time will be a stalwart.

    city was literally the worst team to allow to go first in mid april, they have a lot of players in fact most of their squad having a slow season to their standards but their ability to get clutch moments from diverse players is untouchable,the title goal can equally come from haaland than from rico lewis or gvardiol who's given us some prime adriano rockets of late not like us who would play saka even with clutches if needed to have confidence that we can win
    the good thing with city is that they had their run of draws and defeats happened way before he mattered enough to rule them out then the returns of kdb brought some fresh air before they started having average games and other guys taking the responsability to lead the team,but us arsenal and liverpool we have history of losing and crumbling under nervosity year after year(even though liverpool won more titles than us recently) when its the worst moment to lose

    Paul is right, it's over. City has won the Premiership for 4th time in a row. Arteta bottled it with his starting 11 mistakes. Havertz should have been in middle of front 3 and Jorginho in midfield. That starting lineup made them unbeaten since turn of the year. You don't mess with a winning formula. Last year it was the Saliba injury and young team just choking under pressure. This year it's the manager overthinking it. Perhaps third time the charm for Gunners, but they still haven't a world class striker, a reliable 20+ goal scorer in their squad.
