Funny how all the pundits are back to calling City the best team in the world again after outing them for the last 3 months…
Yea tired of this narrative. At the end these guys be like "We can't compete"
Its like they have a coin written
1. ManCity aren't same anymore
2. How can we compete
on its either sides.
They’ve been a joke by their standards at times, they weren’t wrong, but they were always the best team in the world
It’s really funny. They were all saying City is out of the race all of the sudden City is going for the title 😂😂, funny pundits

And when Coty stop paying the Refs they will drop 3 divisions, whilst Liverpool will still be competing and losing due to the Refs
Just google penalty stats for every year of the Premier league and then google before then and see the HUGE difference against Liverpool and for Man U , which went to Chelsea, then to City
I can talk a facts all day
We went from "it's between Arsenal and Liverpool" to "City are the best team in the world" in just a few days. Merson truly is the greatest gift to comedy 🤣🤣🤣
💯
I ain’t letting him get away with that cuz he said it’s between Arsenal and Liverpool but now it’s city are the best team in the world. Ppl were underestimating us now they’re breading us now🤣
@Pobaika go back and watch the clip rather than just reading the title. He said "until it's in City's hands" he has Liverpool and Arsenal as favourites.
Basically, all he was saying was that he didn't expect BOTH Liverpool and Arsenal to slip up. He expected at least one of them to take advantage of the fact that they were in control of their own destiny. But if either of them slipped up at any point, then he knew City would be ready to pounce.
That's why he said "until City are in the driver's seat." As in, there's nothing City would've done unless Arsenal and Liverpool slipped up, which they both did obviously.
None of that is criticising City. He's always recognised the fact that they are gonna win the rest of their games. But yesterday he expected at least one of Liverpool or Arsenal to also win all their games. That didn't happen - they both bottled it - so now City are back in the driver's seat and should win the rest of their games like they always do.
He's been pretty consistent with his opinion tbh. He was wrong obviously. He thought one of Arsenal or Liverpool would also win the rest of their games. But he's always said that City would win all their games. Dunno how you've taken it so badly unless you didn't actually watch what he said yesterday.
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣

It was only yesterday on Soccer Saturday that Merson was sure that Arsenal or Liverpool would win the league.
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
He said "until it's in their hands, it's Arsenal or Liverpool's title to lose." He's not really saying anything controversial in either of these clips. Literally just that you have 3 quality teams that you'd expect to win all their games. So whoever's in first are in the driver's seat and should win the title.
So when both Liverpool and Arsenal lost yesterday, that was a shock, City are the new favourites.
He's not saying anything profound. Just stating the obvious that whoever's first is the favourites and because all these teams are so good, you'd expect them to take advantage of the fact that it's in their hands. Means if a team slips up, they've bottled it.
Merson would never say Liverpool can win the league he hates them too much to say that
😂😂😂
ManCity was out of UCL in the cruellest ways in 2019 and 2022 against Tottenham and Madrid respectively. Both the seasons they went on to win the PL title by ONE point. (I remember City smash Newcastle 5-0 after that loss in Bernabeu)
Did Arsenal's 2-2 draw against Bayern at home and Liverpool's 0-3 loss to Atalanta have an influence on today's upsets?
I thought villa woke up and played way better in the second half tbh gotta give credit to the team that wins tbh
As much as both European Results were not great midweek, Liverpool and Arsenal had no excuse not to win two home fixtures against Palace and Villa.
I think it mainly comes down to psychological pressure that man city put on opponents in the final stretches of the season. This is why they will always be Champions, as they brutalise Opponents on and off the pitch with their experience and squad.
All this coming from a passionate Arsenal Fan BTW.
@@salex8813 Unai Emery is just better than Arteta.
@hzskillz1721 Emery tactically outclassed Arteta today. Arsenal is still on a learning curve this season, but Emery changed the whole dynamic of the title race in the 2nd half.

The great teams in Sports hit form at the right time. The first part of the season is the grind bit. European group games, Caraboa cup, early stages of FA Cup. Just get them out of the way.
The New England Patriots in the NFL were the same. They just find an extra gear at the business end of the season.
They're backed by a nation, Phil.
Man City with 73 points
Arsenal with 71 points ahead on goal difference from Liverpool also with 71 points. Yes there's only 2 points but after another 2 weeks you will get a better idea how will get close to the Premier League Title. Another loss for Arsenal or even Liverpool maybe then. But Man City could drop points but it only depends how they all respond to their rivals dropping points. The games that would be testing is Everton v Liverpool will be a crucial game then Tottenham v Arsenal a few days later them games they have to get through them. Man City have got Brighton away could be tough and also they got Nottm Forest away as well. There's tough games potentially there for all of them. By 29/04/24 will give you a better idea who will be more likely to be closer to win the title.

Very inciteful comments by Kolo. He should be a regular on the show if he isn't already.
If city drop points it will be a miracle and a chance for either arsenal or Liverpool to gain ground but city are just relentless in this position especially this time of year. Maybe just maybe spurs could turn up the day they play city but if they know it helps arsenal it'll be the spurs that played Newcastle yesterday
Can you imagine if Tottenham beat City to let Arsenal win the league. The team wouldn't leave the stadium alive.
It doesn’t matter if city drop points. They could probs lose 2 games and still win the league. The fact of the matter is, both Arsenal and Liverpool have mentally crumbled and will both go on to lose and draw more games in their run in now regardless of what city does. Liverpool have three tricky away games back to back and Arsenal have to play spurs, United and Chelsea. Liverpool/Arsenal probs finish 80-85 points somewhere. City 85-90.

It's the same every year, for 7 months broadcasters pretend there's a title race then when it gets to the stage where teams have to play 3 times a week, City's superior squad rotates and keeps winning whilst their rivals drop points. City are too good, fair play to them. Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Spurs have to spend the money to have 23+ world class players. Repeat treble is on if they beat Real.
Paul called it before kickoff. Drop Jorginiho and they will lose...
city was literally the worst team to allow to go first in mid april, they have a lot of players in fact most of their squad having a slow season to their standards but their ability to get clutch moments from diverse players is untouchable, the title goal can equally come from haaland than from rico lewis or gvardiol who's given us some prime adriano rockets of late not like us who would play saka even with clutches if needed to have confidence that we can win
the good thing with city is that they had their run of draws and defeats happened way before he mattered enough to rule them out then the returns of kdb brought some fresh air before they started having average games and other guys taking the responsability to lead the team, but us arsenal and liverpool we have history of losing and crumbling under nervosity year after year(even though liverpool won more titles than us recently) when its the worst moment to lose
vvd's shakyness of the recent weeks and repeated slipping and our central pair starting to end games with frustrated figure lying on the floor says it all
It's over and man city are already champions and they will win all their remaining games.
Suddenly all the useless pundits saying City have won it
He said Arsenal will win it😂😂😂😂😂
Paul is right, it's over. City has won the Premiership for 4th time in a row. Arteta bottled it with his starting 11 mistakes. Havertz should have been in middle of front 3 and Jorginho in midfield. That starting lineup made them unbeaten since turn of the year. You don't mess with a winning formula. Last year it was the Saliba injury and young team just choking under pressure. This year it's the manager overthinking it. Perhaps third time the charm for Gunners, but they still haven't a world class striker, a reliable 20+ goal scorer in their squad.
I have been saying this from day one.
It doesn’t matter where Man City are at the start or the middle of the season.
They always go into their “Super Saiyan” mode in the final part of the season and end up winning their remaining games..
Arsenal and Liverpool (for the 3rd time may I add after 2018-19 and 2021-22) bottling it when it matters does not help either.
Cheating gets.
They had it all in their hands tho 😂
Funny how the focus is on Arsenal losing to a top four side but not Liverpool losing to 14th place Crystal Palace…
5 minutes ago he was saying city were out of the race 😝
Like Kola said City have the advintage
City have dropped points in 10 league games this season and are only 2 points ahead. They dropped points to at least 3 of the teams that are amongst their remaining fixtures (Chelsea, Wolves, Spurs that I can see but maybe others too)..
The idea that it's over is ridiculous. If either Arsenal or Liverpool could take say 16 points from the remaining 18 available, they'd still have a decent chance of the title.
But you know they won't get 16 out of 18. More like 12 out of 18.And you know, City is going to win the league.
The Chelsea game is FA cup, doesn't count. In the Wolves game, Rodri was out due to red card and now they are out of form. Spurs is the only hard team they have to face.
I don't think Arsenal have a chance, never believed it. But Liverpool is still a candidate for me
Just have to play one game at a time. I’m confident pep will keep the boys focused!!
We have a better starting line up but they have a very strong bench.
It was our faults we lost against Fulham, Westham, disappointing draw against Fulham playing with 10 men.
We blame ourselves.
Any of the three that win their last six games will win the league and they are all capable of doing that.
Uh no. 2 of them just lost a crucial game and specifically one of them bottled an actual lead to top 😂.
City and Liverpool don’t have any tough match other than spurs to play on like arsenal who have spurs, Chelsea and man Utd! hope they make it strong
Well, Crystal Palace turned out to be a very tough match. I get your point though
There are no easy games in this league. Apart from Sheffield United maybe, this year.

Money buys constant success in football. Every team has suffered especially in Europe FFP has sent them backwards like Madrid, Barca, Inter, Juve Milan etc same in Prem no one the world has the buying power and offer wages like city. City used Man Utd as a blueprint, bought the best manager and bought in 2 players of high quality for each position. I hope these 115 charges bring them back down to Earth. Also they were banned from Europe and had to go to a higher court to overturn it. Money buys you everything and also buys you out of trouble.
