@@benjulc9271 I will respectively disagree. My only issue with them is they make it so easy by giving the xp share. I turned it off when I played because I thought you had to split the xp, and the game was much more enjoyable/challenging.

X and Y are good, but they don't reach the heights of HGSS or BW2.

Sadly to see it fades away in the gaming industry. So far my favourite gaming system which no other gaming console yet to impress me as 3ds did. The huge games library, portability due to its pocket size and the 3D effect which still amaze me until this day whenever I have the chance to try it on the new game. Love every bit of it and I will keep it by my side for another 10 years wherever I go.

I prefer 7 over 8. Might just be that I was burned out from years of 8 and so going back is nice. You can actually still play classic MKDS online as well

Yeah the very first game he talked about at #25 was “profesor Layton miracle Mask” however he was reading the plot of “Profesor Layton vs Ace Attorney”. It’s clear this guy didn’t do any research and was just making a video on some list he found online without caring enough to know anything about these games.

Kirby Planet Robobot is so awesome I couldn't put it out of my top 10 even if there's a lot of jrpgs which I love the most.

I'm really sad they didn't ported Minish Cap, too. Specially seeing how they basically pushed everything Wii U into 3DS and Switch due to how bad the Wii U sold
I've played all of them and I guarantee that a link between worlds it's the best one by far, smooth 60 fps and amazing graphics, followed by majora's mask (with the fan patch) bc of the camera controlls

Ahh this brought up lots of good memories for the console that actually got me back into console gaming. I broke out the 3ds recently to finally play Persona Q2, and that ones a blast after Playing Persona 4 and 5. Another of my personal honorable mentions to Etrean Oddesy 4 (but they’re all great if you like this style of game). Great list, thanks!
q2 requires you to have played at least 80 hours of persona 3,4 and 5 but it's very much worth

So many games are still waiting to be played! I loved LoZ:BotW on the switch. The only other zelda game ive ever played was way back nintendo DS era. Now I'm gonna start with majora's mark and A link between worlds. There are some games I have fond memories of but can no longer enjoy since i can't play with/against my friends anymore.
I love how the Duology of the Hero of Time take the top 2 spots! Magnificent
i really like the 3d screen without using glasses,
i think that 3d effect is pretty good and so innovative on that era.
3DS is a very unique and irreplaceable handheld.
Hopefully another console can recreate that type of innovation in the near future

I met some of the most truly amazing people on there and it still has some of the fondest memories of mine to this day... It's just sad to see it all just go away this..

Sadly not. Mobile is the main niche for handheld gaming. I have optimism as some devs are finally making console quality/handheld game quality instead of being the expected gacha mobile games we mostly get
The 3DS will always have its place. The Switch is more of a small tablet. I want a portable game device the fits in my pocket. Nintendo forfeited the pocket to smartphones. Screw smartphones, they killed mobile gaming.

I HIGHLY recommend to everyone with a DS, DSLite, DSi, 2DS, 3DS, etc, to play ALL of Professor Layton games. They are by far my favorite game franchise and i know that if you give it a try you'll love em too. The characters are lovely, the game handle like a cellphone puzzle game but with an interesting story and anime cinematics. PLEASE give em a try. If a Layton game comes out for the switch then im buying the console just to play it for sure!

I still adore my 3ds and 3ds xl. I have tons of games and won't ever ever ever stop playing them or get rid of them. Even with my switch in mind... you can pry my 3ds xl out of cold dead hands.

DS and 3ds had some of the best titles in gaming despite their little underpowered hardware. Handheld devs had so much love and charm to their games

I’d have Luigis Mansion in my top 3, along with Steam World Heist, and maybe Shovel Knight.

Metroid Samus Returns should be way higher on this list if you ask me.
Facts, especially since the gameplay is so similar to dread which is finally coming out soon and also cause its the most dramatic remake compared to the original by far and also the oldest.
Yoshi's Woolly World, Yoshi's New Island, Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Paper Jam and Superstar Saga, Paper Mario Sticker Star, Ever Oasis, Bravely Default, Code of Princess, Zelda OoT, MM, triforce heros, a link between worlds, Fantasy Life, etc.... and thats only 3DS Games. There are tons of other just DS games that are just phenomenal that even at 34 years old and having a switch and having my 3ds for years I'll never not be excited to replay again and again. I'll never ever give up my 3ds and 3ds xl.
I’ve always regretted trading in my 3ds for a discount on the switch. Sure, I love my switch, but I never really got to dive into all these great games. Can’t wait to get my hands on another one.

The only reason Samus Returns had such lackluster sales was due to coming out on the 3DS at the tail end of its lifespan when it should have been on the Switch instead.

Monster hunter series was amazing. Me and my friends would buy the games together, meet up to play together every time. It's definitely some of those button-killer games. My shoulder button died at MH4U but a fellow from the local 3ds community offered to fix it.
Also, I know Streetpass isn't exactly a game but it's one of the things I really enjoyed about the 3DS

@@hobojoe5981 I actually play Fantasy Life right now on 3DS. The Content is huge. But i also see why it should be played with other ppl, because doing all "Lifes"(Jobs) alone take alot of time. My play time reached 100h+ already.

Great list. My only criticism here would be that Fire Emblem Fates gets included but only by being put next to awakening, in the same way they treat pokemon x and y. The difference here is that where pokemon x and y are essentially the same game, awakening and fates are different games, otherwise why do we have 3 different places for different pokemon titles. So by right fates should hold it's own place or all pokemon games should only take 1 spot here

I still play Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate, Stella Glow, Fantasy Life, Mario Kart 7, Super Street Fighter IV 3D, Samus Returns: Metroid, Hyrule Legends, and Ridge Racer 3D.

@@crystaloliverproductions1339 - Same! I play my Nintendo Switch in handheld mode at home, but outside and during travels, till this day, I still carry my Nintendo 3DS with me. Currently trying to get ALL level 4+ weapons for each character. I will go back to Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate and Fantasy Life soon. I still have to collect the letters KONG in the (brutal) K levels of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.
The N3DS is a great dedicated handheld, but it is still missing genre’s I like, such as a real NBA basketball game, games like Contra and Metal Slug, and side-scrolling beat em ups like Final Fight and Streets of Rage, although SoR 2 3D is available via the éShop.
I have all of these games, plus around 100 more, mostly physical copies, so that should keep me going for a few years! They look pretty amazing on my dual IPS screen New 3ds XL😁
Can we request hexen doom 1 and 2 also wolfenstein 3d and also starwars dark forces all in 3d as eshop downloads for the NN3dsXL which happens to be the best handheld ever crafted to this day!
Booted my 3DS again after 3 years. Of course, I'm replaying Metal Gear Solid 3D. MH4U was amazing, especially when you're playing with your friends. It's what broke my shoulder buttons, though. Good times!

The game that combines both franchises is Layton vs Phoenix Wright, not Miracle Mask.

Fire Emblem: Echoes - Shadows of Valentia was my favourite Fire Emblem and 3DS game of all time. Awakening was amazing but Echoes improved upon everything, IMO.

On the 3ds you could play the 4-7 Pokémon generations. Really a Pokémon fans dream.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Yeah... a Mega Drive Game for 3DS. I know this list is made by votes, but if i compare the "best Games of a System" it should be exclusive, otherwise you must fill the other places with good VC SNES Games too, lol.
I've always thought the same thing. Best games lists should be made up of exclusives and/or games who's definitive version is on the console.

my favorite underrated DS game that no one’s heard of: touch detective. it had soooo much personality and uniqueness. i loved that game and it’s sequels so much. wish it was still going.
but i agree with all of this. i grew up on the OG DS back in 2005 when i was 10, and the 3DS came out when i was 17 going in to college. i bought it once i saw ocarina of time, smash bros, animal crossing and luigi’s mansion would be on there. i also grew up with two brothers and a gamecube and all 4 of those games were our faves on gamecube.
this video brought back so many memories from gamecube to DS to 3DS to the switch today. when New Horizons came out,i played on there with friends i made on an animal crossing forum wayyy back in 2008, when i was 13. i was playing in 2020 with internet friends i met on Wild World over a decade ago. so crazy.
