I'm sad she didn't particularly like this roleplay but she went ahead and experimented with new sounds and triggers. We all know that not everyone likes bright and bubbly. ASMR has something for everyone. This reminds me of a horror movie and I love the production of this and her videos. One of the many reasons she stands out.

I’m struggling with depression and right around the time this video was released I lost someone very special to me to cancer and I am still really struggling with grief. I watch this video and it’s like the forest represents the depression and grief and you’re giving me this supportive energy to go on. Thank you.

This video is my favorite ASMR video EVER. It's awesome the transitions, owls sounds, drums... Everything. Your roleplay is a piece of art. One of my favorite parts is when she says: Are you... Lost? And THE SOUNDS STOP. 😳
The part where you are putting the wax down to the water is actually called "Tawas" here in the Philippines, if we cannot afford to attend appointments in the infirmary we tend to come our way to "Albolaryos" who perform this candle thing so they can be able to know what kind or living element from the forest is behind of somebody's moderate sickness. Anyway, I so love how splendid the production of this craft. Never cease to amaze me!

That's very interesting! I love hearing about actual folk rituals. It's part of why I hate modern "paganism", honestly, considering it's basically a mess of stolen and fabricated ideas with a conveniently modern coat of paint splashed on. Real paganism is fascinating and mostly unknown.

Diane's wonderful. You should also check out Latte and Goodnight Moon's Babblebrook series for more cinematic ASMR. (I don't get tingles but I do love the atmosphere and storytelling and sounds, and these narratives make it enjoyable for more than background noise.)

This is without a doubt the best production you’ve done to date Diane.
An effective thing called our imagination is challenged to be used here with the help of your voice, set, props, and distant sound effects. Your French accent, respectfully, gives it an old world feel of authenticity similar to that seen in an “Interview with a Vampire”
You should consider creating this character further. This has real potential Diane.
My favorite line? “Everything here is poisonous” and it was believable.
You should consider writing and producing the first ever ASMR Indie film to create a new genre and get the recognition you deserve.
Regardless, your setting the bar and no one else comes close so Godspeed…

@@niklasl3880 they used to call science and medicine witchcraft back in the day and claim it was fake too- but here we are, using witchcraft every time we take an aspirin for a headache or rub vicks on our chests to help breathe when we have a cold. A few hundred years ago they would have persecuted us for this, so who knows what we’ll learn in another few hundred years?

It started in Ireland and Scotland, it was the Celtic New Year and Samhain is gaelic for November ...Jack O Lantern is specifically Irish.

Samhain is a Gaelic festival which may have started originally in Ireland it’s not clear, but there’s no doubt that modern Halloween takes influence from both the Irish and Scottish traditions 👍🏻
It probably started with the original Celts in modern day Central Europe, but the know history starts centuries later on the iles of Britan and Ireland...

@@BooksandBuns Modern "paganism" is a mess of stolen cultural ideas and complete fabrication. Most of these folks don't actually know much about paganism and just think it's all about having a bunch of candles and crystals and pretending to hex people. I haven't read much about Slavic paganism myself, but it sounds fascinating!

The lighting and cinematography is magical as always, but the unique setting and storytelling really made it stand out. I especially loved the visual triggers (smoke, hand movements, candles) and the section with the bone divination. (Macabre as it may be, bones make really lovely sounds lol!)
