The prince gives off a more vengeful version of the witch from The Last Unicorn. That movie shaped me growing up, but her character especially hit hard. This is very reminiscent of her quest for immortality. Its not the same, but his convictions have that same powerfully determined taste. It's like this character will 100% achieve everything he said he would. He's not telling us his plans, he's giving us a peak into the near future.
