- Bowfishing Pa 2012. The guys meet SrA Chris Wells who flew an American flag on a mission over the hostile skies of afghanistan in honor of Leatherwood Outdoors. Chris came to meet the guys and do a little bow fishing during his short time back home. Thank you Chris and all our troops in the military. God Bless
Former SrA here!!!! Cant wait for PA deer rifle season just a few more days!!!
Us guys here in Elk County really do owe the men and women of the US military a huge debt of gratitude. Our hats go off to all of yas. Good to see a PA boy come back to enjoy the outdoors and freedoms that we all enjoy. Been watchin alot of Leatherwoods vids. You guys resemble our Klunker Crew. Huntin and fishin anything that makes for a good challenge, including bowfishin the carp. Great to see we arent the only ones takin advantage of the PA Wilds. To leatherwoods and military; GET SOME!!
Wow! Looks like fun. I couldn't help but notice how humble and respectful these young men seem to be. Very refreshing. No statements. No ink. Just didn't think it was out there anymore.
Thanks!
Great video leatherwoods and thanks for your service Chris Wells
First off, Thank you very much for serving our country. Second up, I'm sure you lost quite a few arrows. You should check out the AMS Bowfishing line. I'm in Ohio and if you guys ever make it down Interstate 70, we can do some real bow fishing.
Big ups from Montana! I love shooting a bow but this is a new concept for me. Thanks for the great videos guys...look forward to future uploads!
cool video guys! Being in the water doesn't offer the angle a boat does - its hard! Very cool and keep at it - the less there are the better!
Great video guys! Cool to see a Chris out enjoying Pennsylvania. Hope you find plenty of hunting and fishing in Nebraska. Keep the videos rolling.
thumbs up and reply for all military and navy
WE ARE!!!! I'm from Washington, PA sweet video fellas
As a Military man and Veteran
I appreciate Leather Wood Outdoor support for Military Personnel, way to go,!
Interesting method of taking those fish.
Carp in Eurasia is considered a delicacy. I do wonder about sucker fish, I have my doughts as to the nutrients that can come from them.
Are there any Cray Fish that would be good eating there?
If so do you guys trapem?
Good video, keep em comming!
Thank you Troops for protecting this great country so we can live our lives and enjoy the outdoors.
dang i just got a bow like a month ago and i found out that you can get fishing tips for your arrows and a fishing reel for your bow it looks pretty cool so you dont lose your arrows and the fishes dont slide off your arrows when you shoot fish
Literally the same reason I watch this channel.
PA is 1 of the best states i loved living there
hunting with bows for fish all my respect goes to you
that fish looks like it tried the kylie jenner lip challenge at 7:40 lol
yall should look into a badass slingshot they are small, compact,STRONG,very durable and cheap! and are BADASS!
Looks like a ton of fun guys. Also many thanks to ur buddy who is serving and God bless you and all our troops.
I'm live in Nebraska... About an hour away from Omaha to be exact
That creek looked like a lot of fun
try octane whisker biscuit, alot better because the fletches dont rub off the regular whisker biscuit or a quieter drop away rest which are more accurate but expensive. hope this helps
Cool looking forward to them! I will definatly but a couple!
Yall need to come down to the south for some bow fishun!
Can you make more of these fishing videos?
I really like watching them
I used to do this at some cricks in SW Ohio. What a blast. We nailed some huge hog carp.
you guys should try up at loch 9... ive seen some people get nice carp up there... and when i was up visiting last year i saw a bunch of little suckers and some nice carp but didnt have my bow.
Would be a lovely river to fish for them with bait..Looks like beautiful surroundings.
THANKS
yes thank you for making our country free
What a beautiful clear river [=
Another bad-ass video.....look forward to each one!
You guys should come up to Michigan in saginaw bay there's tons of carp and far pike 3 ft easy
Looks like a fun day out boys, nice vid
What a beautiful place to hunt!
Thanks for your service Chris wells🇺🇸
Do you aim above or below the fish and how much lead do you give the fish?
+dlvmark mostly below the fish. Every situation is different. It depends on depth of water and angle of shot.
below
The arrow levels out in the water so below. If deep , then lower and if shallow higher
+dlvmark When bow fishing, always aim about 4 - 5 cm below the fish (roughly 2 inches) because light gets refracted and shows the image a little higher than it really is. Also, when fishing, try to face your back to the sun if possible, makes it easier.
+haunter8o6 wow! Big help thank you!
I also live in michigan and want to get into this. You can bow fish for suckers, carp, and gar. However you cannot bowfish in trout streams.
nossa cara que lugar lindo!
Nice video. Thanks to the gentleman in the video and all the others that have served our country. Is there smallmouth in that creek? We used to wade a creek around here in the hot summer time and throw eighth oz buzzbaits for smallmouth. It seemed the hotter it was, the better they would bite in that creek. Would be nice to see a video of you guys trying that if there is smallmouth in there. Thanks for the video.
awesome video
1.9 million views ! Fun stuff. Let me know if you want to bring a crew to Lake Champlain to hunt off my well-lit pontoon boat in June.
that actually looks like a lot of fun.
when you use the fishing arrow does it hit the same as your arrows by the pin, thanks.
Glad y'all put the fish to use. A lot of people shoot em and let em rot. have you ever fished for carp with rod and reel?
I respect your service
I'm with u
Looks like fun. Good job!
awesome video!!!
very nice video
Yeah your gonna need the kind of bow that fires arrows, use arrows that are long and straight and as for arrow heads I find pointy one's work best ;)
Nice work
Were you just using field points for this or did you have the barbs on the end for bowfishing with reels
all field points but occasionally we will use a barbed point
Great vid
can ya guys show us what to use and how to fish for the big cats?
alll right thanks, just wondering
Are you usin broad heads or field tips or what? Thanks and keep the videos comin! God bless
Look like a lot of fun :)
Do replacement whisker biscuit bristles really work and can you make a video of how to do that thanks
i have a bow i made my self home its very good for fishing
looks like a lot of fun!
How long is a good length arrow for fishing?
i think its to keep the arrows warm .... better accuracy
Does getting the bow wet ruin the wood and long term performance?
you are going very good for catching fish and keep it away for your daily life
what kind of arrows are you using?
just wondering, ive been wanting to get into bowfishing and live in lancaster PA.do you guys know of any places that would be good near me? thanks in advanced!
you guys are fun to watch.. Im in Ohio and looks like we fish the same area where are you?
Very informative. Added a sub for you.
would you guys recommend broadheads for frogs?
I heard it too. So sad...
tionesta is where my camp is
smoke carp is yum yum, do the points get, damaged, when you miss a fish,
Damn, I cant ask an honest question without being persecuted? I was just wondering if over time it might damage the bow.
are you using arrow tips or field tips
Very good
Well what would they expect people to be doing with them besides bait?
Nice video! No Bowfishing reels tho???
como voces consegue
Ahh, ok, thanks for the info
what a nice river so clean,i will rather have a swim in the river.
why are there ads in the beginning, do you get paid for that?
okay. I want to get into this sort of thing and I live in Michigan. Although I'm not sure I can do this, me and my friends really want to start. What are the regulations for bowfishing?
Where at in PA is this? im in the pittsburgh area and wanna do this
What stream in PA is this?
what happens if your bow touches the water?
In the state of PA r u allowed to use crossbows
But they're the best for sure
Look at the size that Chaw
they make good fertilizer if you bury them in your garden
Get a fishing license from Wal-Mart, get the "All Species" stamp. Now you can bowfish carp, muskie, pike in the state of Michigan.
This is the fun way to bow fish jump in the water with the fish
Nice
how many arrows have you broke.
What kind of arrows do you use
we use just any old practice arrows we may have lying around. They are a mixed variety of carbon
ok cool I'm going bow fishing with my recurve in the summer
January 25th is my birthday!!
yeah that was brutal to watch get an arrow with some barbs on it and a retriever
what part of PA are you guys from
clarion and armstrong counties
