Teddy is not actually producing at YG anymore since he now owns the majority of the BLACKLABEL. He is also getting ready to debut his own girl group sometime this year. So when and if BLACKPINK comes back we don''t know if their will have the same type of songs like with Teddy.
For BABYMONSTER, it is mostly CHOICE37 and his team working with them. I can't wait to see you react to some of their B-sides. LIKE THAT is one I would recommend and also their last live performance on INKIGAYO with a live band. They proved that they are MONSTERS when it comes to live performances in a time when everyone is questioning all of the current gen K-pop groups on their "Live" performances.
YG himself actually did quite a bit on this track too as they were having trouble finding the right hook for the outro, which he brought home, and I believe he did the hook for the rap verse as well as it was another trouble spot they had.
They are allrounder - super group. All visual sing rap dance SP. What more do you need.
Definitely check out the YG Production Ep.1 making of Sheesh, it's very interesting seeing how YG operates now with regards to GGs post-Teddy and how much work they put in to make Sheesh such a great banger.

Hey Brock, love the hair, missed your reactions. Idk if you remember me, or my comments, I do watch alot, but don't comment often. Hope your doing well in health and aspects of life. Baby monsters song sheesh had me in a continuous chokehold, it's the trap and swag essence of their pre-successors that give them all the more reason to have it all. Hope they go far they have potential to be the best. There was another rap that was deleted but should've been in.

Teddy has nothing to do with Babymonster and, as of 2024-04-01, Teddy is no longer a producer for YGE and no longer the Main Producer & Creative Director for Blackpink.
In 2022, TheBlackLabel completed their change from being a subsidiary company of YGE to becoming an associate company at YGE. This meant YGE no longer has overriding control over or unfettered access to TheBlackLabel. Teddy also became the majority shareholder of TheBlackLabel.
Also in 2022, Teddy and TheBlackLabel announced they were in development of their own 5th gen girl group. This was one of the reasons why Teddy has nothing to do with Babymonster.

Yeah, foreigners might think there's no big deal or concern in Baby Monster and Black Pink being similar. But why are Koreans sensitive about it? It's because we've seen too much and for too long of YG's behavior. We're just fed up now. Enough is enough. All Koreans naturally acknowledge Baby Monster's talent and charm. However, the issue lies in their music style. If you watch CZcams videos uploaded by Koreans, you'll see praise for Baby Monster's singing, rapping, and performance skills. But when it comes to their songs, the general sentiment is 'tacky,' 'tired,' 'banal.' This is because it genuinely comes off as banal and tacky. If Baby Monster were to maintain YG's style while refining their music and sound to be more sophisticated, they would undoubtedly be recognized as top-tier.
They all joined YG because of this "tacky, tired, and banal" style of music. They are doing what they wanted to do, and have been successful in doing it. Look at the crowd at Gimpo yesterday, insane, and they were Koreans.
You can see some degrees differentiated from original YG sounds in title track song 'Sheesh' eventhough the stucture is the same, the creepy eerie vocal showcase vibe was new here. This structure and beats are easy to consumed, mesmerized, and to have fun. That's why YG stan loves it. I may be old and familiar to judge my liking for an artist's music through a whole album, one or two songs will be the highlight, some are served for the artist uniqueness showcase, and some are just for decorations. Unexpectedly, the BABYMONS7ER mini-album are full of iconic songs, they portrayed other genres Babymonster can obtain and deliver out. As a foreigner, I valued them this way and then choose to support.
Sometimes I think some Korean music experts and critics, and also knetz communities, are usually pouring negative criticism to YG's songs because of the culture of obsession in tally comparing and expand the tiny flaws bigger to public. For 'Sheesh', the bridge part and outro are the best parts that should have been positively said out loud rather than those narrow mind judged a whole song as 'tacky', 'tired', or 'banal' sentiment.
