Four Bundesliga players were diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2022. Devastating news for each of Sebastién Haller, Marco Richter, Jean-Paul Boëtius and Timo Baumgartl. All of them had extensive treatment, with Baumgartl and Haller also requiring chemotherapy as well. They were sidelined the longest, but all four have now beaten the disease and returned to playing football. Their stories are an inspiration for everyone - and a reminder for men no matter how young to have a check-up.

Cancer could change a life. However some Bundesliga player have fought against cancer so that they can play football again. They don’t only entertain us with football but show how to live. That’s why I like footballers.
