Its great how they point out that museums started with just a private collection. Im from and live in Texas and our most known site is the Alamo. Most of the artifacts at the site was collected and donated by Phil Collins. Ir was amazing to me that a brit has such a love and respect for that part of history that he did all of the things he has done to display such an important and pivotal moment in our state’s identity.
Wonderful Sword, i have a light cavalry sword from my family in Germany it was a gift to my Great Great Grandfather who was a Union Navy veteran. His wife's father was a Von Zeigler. I would love to find out more about it. My father use to collect the regimental steins! Definitely going to check the website! Great Work Alex!
