This looks amazing! I love the wide display monitor. Unless you can blow through the poster and feel the air on the other side those foam panels are much better off being out somewhere else!

Dear Edward, I would go for the Herman Miller chair, either Embody or Aeron, the second which is better for your back, and choose one with the right tracking wheels, there are a total of 3 wheels and 2 are good for carpet, that way you avoid putting the flooring mat in your room. I am very new to recording and I have a Audio Technica AT2020V mic with usb.

You have given me so much inspiration and I appreciate that so much! I love how minimum the design is and how the "gear" is the focal point! I am obsessed with the LED peace sign and the banana!!!! Thank you for such a detailed list! Can you tell me where the clock is from?
If you get an Embody or Aeron chair, get the right tracking wheels and then push the Embody with arms to move it. So push just the arms if you're not sitting on it, it will move easily. If you're sitting on it, it should move easily with the right carpet tracking wheels, there are a total of 3 wheels and 2 are good for carpet on the Embody.
low-end frequencies build up in corners, if you mix there it may sound a bit muddy, your better off moving the desk to the middle of the room and pulling it back to a third of the way down the room. Trust me, do a recording before and after, you'll hear it. another good way to tell where you should mix is to walk around the room and clap loudly. When you can't hear the echo as much, that's usually the spot you wanna go from
Hey man, that’s a cool setup you have. Try rising your yamaha monitors a bit though. Having the tweeters on ear level should improve your sound a lot. Right now they’re just shooting at your shoulders.
Clean and simple, I like it! I envy you guys with a "spare room" so much haha. The only thing I noticed, since you are taking care of acoustics and all that, why not put those yamahas to your ear height or angle them. Being nitpicky I know :D

I'm pretty sure that filling frames with foam does not help at all, unless you have a cat that taps on it or a subwoofer louder than manhatten but nice video and explanation of your gear. 😆👍

Hi, I am setting up a home studio for leisure. So far, I have ordered a focusrite scarlett 2i2 and gear 4music starter pack . ...what else do i need to buy. I also need something that could give me some beats/rhythm while I sing, can you pls suggest what I can buy to add beat to my song whenever I am using the mic condenser. not sure about his placement but placed properly they would work as well as most foam treatments for cutting reflected highs. IMHO
