Dom is spot on. Most people just want to get on with their lives without being force-fed identity politics.
Eubank wore the armband to take the piss. Pretty sure he wouldn't have if smith hadn't brought up his sexuality. Either way, best fighter won.
Nobody is force feeding anyone anything. You rarely hear a trans or gay person talking about it, more Piers Morgan etc.

Dominic Ingle is the best person to interview in boxing bar none. He's always deeply interesting/intriguing to listen too, speaks with a genuine authority, and has no 'bulls%$t' to talk about anything or anyone. In fact you always feel like you are learning something in every interview you see with him in it.
Dom ingle and Peter Fury always give good interviews

He's a Yorkshire man and calls a spade a spade.
Brutal but fair. You come up to a certain level 3 Times, Saunders, Groves, Smith....and don't get past it. I think Liam was exceptional and Chris should be fighting a few pounds heavier (at his age) because he clearly wasn't taking a punch like he normally does. But you know what? He's done alright has Chris (if he were to call it quits). He's sold himself well, made himself relevant, given good trash talk and had some good fights. He'll never have to work again either. Could have done better? Maybe. Could have also done a lot worse though....
Very fair summary. He's done very well financially and at the end of the day, that's what counts.

@@danielmcdonald9917 Exactly. There have been fighters who have had far more amateur experience and much more "natural talent" who have barely scratched out a living from boxing. So what if he used his father's name to build a platform for himself? I call that good marketing. I do respect Dominic Ingle's views, he certainly knows his boxing, but he does seem a tad bitter about the amount of exposure that Chris Eubank Jnr has gotten in his career compared to other fighters.
He looks the part, likes doing it and fairly tough, but he's just not it. He should have never gone up to super middleweight, and now when he would normally be moving up at his age he's trying to fight at 160. And isn't boxing supposed to be something that takes out mind off of issues like politics and LGBTQ rights and all the other shit we hear about day in and day out? Years ago a gay champ killed a challenger back when shit was in black and white anyway
@@ravkhabra I would of the same to market myself like that why not boxing is a dangerous sport best to make the money and get out fast as you can it’s a short career. Think he’s bitter because he’s worked with fighters from the ground up who haven’t got that exposure or personality like eubank but I guess I’m that sport some make it and some don’t.

I was surprised how Eubanks allowed Smith to corner him. Smith corralled him and Eubanks didn't have the footwork to spin out before things got ugly.

Did he miss the part where Liam Smith try to accuse Eubank of being gay? So Eubank wore am armband to make a joke out of it. It's nothiing to do with politics. Perfect example of completely missing the point.

I could listen to him all day very straight very knowledgeable no BS with him or self promotion imagine being trained and guided as a young fighter by someone like him who would and could tell you it's time to quit instead of looking for his next pay check,how accurate was he when summing up eubank and Smith past fighting history and also how eubank was being trained to emulate Jones Jr instead of being trained to fight Liam Smith and also stating how eubank rode through on his dad's name etc so accurate and totally outed the tampering of the sample scenario presented by Ben powerful interview that probably the best I've seen.

Hmmm...a bit harsh on Eubank. Liam brought up the gay thing and he got an unexpected and forceful reply! The armband was a play on that and it seemed quite obvious why he did it. By the way, The Eubanks are actually a fighting family! A little research would help.

I think Chris is in a hard place in terms of he looks to tight at 160 but then too small at 168
Chris must be the most hated boxer in British history, he never get any credits for fighting any body and been respectful In defeat
He should be doing CZcams videos and then challenging other CZcamsrs. That’s his unique selling point. Makes same money as pros but looks good for those who don’t necessarily watch boxing.
For me when he ducked Golovkin and Kell jumped at it (a guy 2 divisions below him) it was game over for him. He decided in that moment that he does not want to be more than a British champion or fight at the British level. Fair dos.

That’s great news to hear the way the A and B samples are done,if he was there when B sample was opened how can he complain?worst thing is sounds like he’s getting rewarded with a huge money fight with pac man
I do feel Ingle is a really intelligent trainer and sees the bigger picture. I always enjoy listening to him and respect his points and experience in the fight game.
I’ve have never rated Eubank, he’s got where he has because of the name, he’s father was a good boxer but at the same time a really strange guy much like junior. I lost respect for junior when he started coming out with crap about triple G and other top boxers, he’s just not on the same level as the top guys. Good on him believing in himself but seriously he’s just very average. Loosing to Smith will either make him a better boxer and a nicer more respectful guy to other opponents or that’s it, it’s over for him. Personally I felt he was trying to copy the way Jones fights. This interview is absolutely spot on. 😊

It is sad to see how many people who are rejoicing a lost that they don't even understand because Chris looked bigger but carrying less weight which affected his mobility and his defense let him down in relying on deep in his head down to avoid punches instead of facing his opponent and using his harms to block. I am sure that Chris will learn his lesson from his mistake, and his trainer maid a very interesting comment about using the option of fighting at one sixty four because it was obvious that Chris didn't have any foot work that night. I guess that Chris has learned never to underestimate another fighter who has two hands like yourself.
