"Work to Do" is a 1972 funk song by The Isley Brothers, released on their T-Neck imprint. The song, written and produced by the group, was issued on their 1972 album, Brother, Brother, Brother, and charted at #51 pop and #11 R&B upon its initial charting. Over the years, the song has gotten much more success thanks to cover versions by the Average White Band in 1974 and Vanessa L. Williams, who turned it into a Top 5 R&B hit in 1992. The song is about how the narrator tries to explain to his girlfriend why he's working late hours in his job explaining he's "taking care of business (at work)" and while he'd love to stay around her, he has "so many things to do" to make it a better situation for them both. - Hudba
He put some of his seasonings on “Work to Do.” And I’m not mad! This was too cute.
Do like Hamish Stuart great pipes
World class....................Amazing to see how well Ringo is playing at the age of 78...........funky cousin.......
Ringo is getting down and dirty on this one. Was never aware that he was so funky. I have mad respect for him.
There's an additional drummer cause Mr.Starkey needs a cane..he's no Simon Kirke..c'mon man.
@@adrianmartin5780 Your jealousy is showing. You couldn't hold a candle to him slick.
I'm 66 and I can out perform Ringo, jamming, any day of the week. Now, as far as coming up with appropriate drumset accompaniment for all those Beatle songs in a few short years...he's the master.

love hamish and the white band xx
Hamish Stuart and Ringo Starr with Average White band amazing-work to do what a great song so much funk and love the I feel fine ending!
This is so so freaking awesome. I will be listening to this over and over. Obviously Hammish has been sadly overlooked by the USA market and artists collective. Thank you to Ringo Star for this gem. I am bouncing up and down dang it. One of my favorite IB songs from my childhood.
W 0 W!!!
Hey they didn't call Ringo "Bogaloo" back in the day for nothing.Darn proud of him! He's earned it well then wear it proudly "Homie".
Ringo is laying it down!!!
Ringo, what gentleman. Bringing all theses amazing musicians together for us to enjoy. However, it's kind for those famous musicians to acknowledge that they're the ones honored to be invited by Ringo and play on the same stage as he.
Hamish...Hamish...Hamish. And Billy Squier reminds us that he is no slouch. And Ringo...his dream is 'still going on.' Good for him. And great that he enlists such great players and let's them also do THEIR thing. Bravo!
Ringo grooves sooo hard on this one! Everyone does really!!!!
The emperor's new clothes.
Ringo laying back in the pocket. Just to smooth !
Ringo groovin' like he wrote funk.
what about his performance here says "funk" to you?@@rudolphguarnacci197
I've probably learned more about singing from this guy than anyone else on earth.
Ringo laying it down Super.
Saw these guys last year twice and they were INCREDIBLE! Definitely worth it.
So it turns out Ringo was the cool Beatle all along!
Ain't faul.
A cast of all-starrs each of who are legends in their own right literally fill the stage up. Each musicians cut after the proceeds are split up; $11.69 each.
That much?
Average white band is my favorite version of this song.

Why are there 2 drummers for goodness sake?
@@phredmorrisgrateful dead envy?
@@willard2729 no it’s Ringo!
@@phredmorris Cuz Ringo wanted it that way...
I meant:
2008:
Ringo Starr - drums, vocals
Peter Frampton (Humble Pie) - guitar, talk box, vocals
Gary Brooker (Procol Harum) - keyboards, vocals
Jack Bruce (Cream) - bass, guitar (1998), keyboards, vocals
Simon Kirke (Free and Bad Company) - drums, vocals
Mark Rivera - saxophone, guitar, keyboards, percussion, vocals
Scott Gordon - harmonica (1998)
The mighty James!
Give me Ringo's concerts to Paul's as Ringo & Co is much more fun & viva la difference. Paul feels trapped by his own success & his band are just there to be backing musicians unlike Wings which was a band despite having McCartney & his singing is ropey now. Ringo is an All Starr Band & maybe he should invite Paul.
Faul
@4FabBEATLES: That band is actually from 1997 and 19998
😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳oh my god!!
average white band in the house!!!!!!!!!!!
Why are there 2 drummers?!its Ringo ! He doesn’t need a drummer!
@guitarkevin69 I think the other drummer is the guy from Night Ranger? And the keyboard player might be Gary Wright
The drummer is Gregg Bissonette. He's played with David Lee Roth, Steve Lukather, ELO, Joe Satriani, Santana, and literally everybody else!!!
Is that Collin Hay to the right of Hamish?
Does anyone else hear "TICKET TO RIDE" at 6:50? or was that the point"? I am confused
It's "I Feel Fine."
don't see a bass player anywhere. is it one of the keyboard playing synth bass ?
+russell boyd Edgar Winter? It's entirely possible that he's playing bass
that's true
+russell boyd You mean that lady with a mustache? Such a boner killer.
He appears to be playing in the bass keys. Prob is key bass.
How can the folks in the audience just SIT THERE?!?? I would probably be escorted out for running up to the stage and boogying like a fool...
: )
I can hear Eric Clapton soloing on this.
He, Michael McDonald, Daryl Hall, Kenny Loggins & Barry Gibb should make a good blue-eyed chorus.
I'm surprised that the FLAMBOYANT Billy Squire isn't FLOUNCING AROUND THE STAGE ON THIS ONE...
Respectful
Ringo, it would have been better if it was just a dream 😆😆😆
The early All Star concerts were great and always changing legendary artists. It's been a bore fest with the same people for the past 20 years. Too bad
Have you ever heard Pat Boone sing this song? Me neither.
shocking guitar solo sorry
Gruesome job.
Wouldn't pay a dime to hear that shit. In fact they would have to pay me and I still wouldn't listen to Ringo's band
Ringo is awesome & along with Ian Paice inspired me to be a drummer. but its just an average white band without Steve Ferrone this would be childsplay for him. Hear him oin love has fallen on me by Chaka Khan to know what Funk drumming is
