- In this Mumbo Jumbo Minecraft redstone video, Mumbo builds a tiny safe house in Minecraft. This Minecraft safe house makes use of Minecraft lava traps, Minecraft end crystals weapons, and also use the Minecraft immersive portals mod to create some interesting contraptions. I made a safe house in Minecraft, and it's very dangerous indeed!

Oh to get inside you would use an enderpearl stasis chamber. Completely forgot to show that when I got carried away with all the mad portal stuff.
It's also worth mentioning, I do this stuff for fun to experiment with interesting redstone concepts. There will always be flaws, and the only true safe house in Minecraft is a hidden one!

Mumbo, to build this wall, you would need to mine 19,152 blocks of ancient debris. That would take 2 and a half unbreaking 3 netherite pickaxes with full durability just to break the ancient debris itself!

And they can be mass obtained a bit easily with the help of gold farm and an auto bartering farm while you will have to trade with villagers for normal arrows. Crafting arrows is also not the best idea

Awesome, but just one problem. The corners! If you attacked from the corners you'd only have to deal with the roof, or you could dig underneath and deal with nothing. It would be great to see moving blocks on the floor or something so you can't mine them. You could also probably use the sculk sensors to trigger the arrow walls.

Switch the arrows to spectral arrows. This means that you can see whatever you're targeting through blocks, and you can much more easily place end crystals by them

What would have been really cool is using the portals to have a sort of "surveillance camera" system downstairs to see what's happening outside. Sure, it would be a little dangerous since it could be used the other way around to get in, but I'm sure you could have found a way to prevent it.
Mumbo's safe houses are cool and all but you could really just walk through the corner, place down and climb up some ladders and then break some string and you could easily get inside.
What we really need to see is how the other hermits do against these diabolical contraptions you keep making. Just have random hermits as guests at the end.

Yeah, that really needs to be considered. But, part of any solution, and any defense system at all, needs to be an Elder Guardian. Dropping Mining Fatigue on griefers is really just basic sense. No clue why people don't do it.

umm it is going to be 16416+2736 because he added one more layer. or about 299 stacks and 16 debris
@MrPigletMan... I'm not sure but it looks like at 2:08 and 2:36, that it's 7 blocks tall. So actually it's 19152 pieces of ancient debris... But then he added one more layer which makes it 21888. That also means 21888 pieces of gold... :)
its 16416 for 1 side. Altogether is 65 664 ancient debris.
Edit: That was wrong. Its 4*9 for a block, and a whole wall will be 19*6+19. So its 4123 per side, and 16492 ancient debris and gold ingots for the whole thing.

I really want to see Mumbo build a moving maze. As the player travels through the maze new walls appear and previous walls disappear. It would be quite hard to make but I think it would be really cool.

Mumbo not killing things in Hermitcraft has made him more aggressive, I love it. I would like to see you lay siege to one of your safe houses, or have a build off with someone to get inside the other players safe house first.

exactly. i fake the player out, causing them to detonate their end crystals, and then run up to one of the corners and block in with obsidian. then i use a fast pickaxe to break the corner, keeping my nametag hidden by crouching, and if they don't have clear eyes on me, they might stay in the command center or the tunnels. either way, once i'm through the wall, i can attack them either on the lawn or in the command center.

1. If you were seriously having a base raided, you probably wouldn't be alone, so you'd have an invisibility potion spotter hidden somewhere, if not 2.
2. The end crystals can reach well into the corners. One well-timed crystal and you're gone.
The real vulnerability here is the moving wall. One TNT cannon or even just an end crystal on the top obsidian layer and there's a huge vulnerability. Approach the portal just to the edge to set it off, and back off before it fires. The moment the water breaks the portal, run across before it all resets. Viola, you're in the base with nothing but a single end-crystal. This is still open to end crystal attacks, but barring multiple dedicated builders, all it takes is two people to perform.
EDIT: The fix to the moving wall vulnerability is actually pretty benign. Replace the Obsidian protection layer with a Netherite one, because you can't place end crystals there.
Mumbo, the next time you make these videos, you should have Grian and Scar test them out. Grian so we can see how effective it is, and Scar for the laughs

This sort of makes me want to do a build where the house is completely enveloped in nether portals that activate from similar contraptions.
19 blocks wide times 6 blocks high would equal 114 netherite blocks per wall times 4 walls would be 456 blocks in total, each netherite block requires 9 netherite ingots so 4,104 ingots in total would be needed, each netherite ingots requires 4 gold and 4 ancient debri meaning you would need 16,416 ancient debri and gold to make the wall. For context a fully powered netherite beacon requires 164 blocks of netherite needing 1,476 netherite ingots, each ingot requires 4 netherite meaning a fully powered netherite beacon only needs 5,904 ancient debri and gold, 10,513 less gold and ancient debri then Mumbo's wall.
Edit: he placed another 19 blocks per wall meaning each wall now has 7 block going up and brings the new total to 133 netherite blocks per wall times 4 walls leaving a new total of 532 netherite blocks in total, each block requires 9 netherite ingots each meaning you now need 4,788 netherite ingots, each ingot requires 4 ancient debri and gold bringing the new total to 19,152 ancient debri and gold needed to make the wall, this means a fully powered netherite beacon is now 13,248 ancient debri and gold cheaper then Mumbo's wall.

Y'know, the whole "instant portal into lava in literal hell" thing is more genius than anyone realized.
The goal was to give home invaders a painful, horrific death. By sending them to the nether and then closing the portal behind them, they get a painful, horrific death, by a fairly slow method, without the screaming. After all, can't hear someone scream across dimensions.

Actually there is many ways in, the corners and the bottom are two great examples cause you can tunnel underneath or just go into the corners of the base
The dispensers should dispense spectral arrows so the attackers get the glowing effect and you can see them from underground

Everytime he makes one of these I feel like he's missing out on potential content by having someone (such as the Grian fellow) come along and try to get past the defenses while Mumbo defends

@Static Wolf He would place water next to the lava pits and have it flowing into it so it keeps the portal broken, destroy the obsidian barrier in front of the arrow dispensers or destroy the tripwires over the base, easy home invasion.
Or just dig a way in and steal all the materials that went into the defense. It is MINEcraft afterall.

532 Netherite Blocks. 4.788 Netherite ingots (64 stacks and 8 Netherite). You would need 19.152 Netherite scraps and gold which is 299.25 stacks each. you would fill up 11 1/12 shulker boxes with Netherite scrap, and 11 1/12 shulkers with gold ingots to make the outside walls. a grand total of 22 1/6 shulker boxes of "raw" material.
Should actually end up as 608 blocks- since he adds an extra layer to the top of the wall. It's 5 on the bottom, and 3 on top for 8x19 wall

The amount of Ancient Debris that you need to build that Netherite Wall is 24,624 separate pieces of Debris. You would need 13 Unenchanted Netherite Pickaxes.
But wouldn't you need ancient debris to get those netherite pickaxes?

Honestly, I want to see Mumbo make a tiny house, and then underneath the ground it expands downwards into like a city-base with all kinds of farms and redstone contraptions, including things like an underground tree farm and cobblestone generator hooked up to a super smelter to pump out smooth stone and just the entire base is self-sufficient, including its ability to expand and generate all of the materials you would need without needing to come above ground to get them
