Oh hey there little bean, watcha doing all the way down here?
I think these most recent videos with Rocket behind the camera are making your personality shine
They’re more relaxed and are snippets from your day, and they feel so much more intimate because you can tell that all the clips are from the eyes of someone who adores you
Also!! If you like Ken Done’s paintings, Kip & Co have a Ken Done collection of bed sheets 🙈
I do agree about that! I get to be my silly self when Rocket's filming and it's fun af!
Rockets camera work is so awesome
He is a professional photographer
The thing about critiques: there’s nothing you can tell a good artist that they haven’t already thought of themselves.
Don't be scared of canvases - the BEST thing about canvas is that you can paint over them as many times as you want! I'm WAY more scared of nice watercolor paper.
This is the most accurate depiction of the love/hate rollecoaster relationship I go on every time I make a new painting! 😂 always worth it for that over excited dopamine hit of incredible genius at the end! love it! ❤❤❤
Same!!! I was thinking that the whole time. It’s always such a journey 😂
My favorite part of this whole painting is actually the pink peeking through the trees and the red edge at the end I feel like it’s a real chefs kiss👩🏽🍳🤌🏽🤌🏽💛💛
Rocket has definitely done an amazing job again! And the soundtrack…beautiful! You both are doing such an amazing job. Thank you for shedding more light on the whole process and your emotional journey. It makes me feel less alone with all the thoughts in my own head 💕 it can all be so scary! But you did an amazing job!!!! ❤
"You always support me! What about the truth?!" i've never laughed so hard at something i relate to so much hahaha
When in doubt say Ken Done and strike a superhero pose…gah I think this is possibly my new favourite thing ❤
its so sweet that you and rocket co worked on this project, I adore this painting btw sending love from Canada
I really love the feel of this video - the way it's filmed, you can really see how much Rocket loves you and admires what you do 😊 also, it just looks cool 😎
I love how we see your journey of you being unsure about the process to you loving the final outcome . I’ve been struggling a lot with self doubt when it’s comes to doing anything creative !
Love the painting! I actually also loved the stage where there was only the hill, sky and pink underpainting. Great contrast, looked very surreal :)
The. combination of both your talents to create this for the world to see is so amazing. I loved watching the clouds transform the piece!!!
Amazing video! Thank you for documenting all the stages and sharing your vulnerability with us! The painting turned out so very wonderful! Well done! 👏👏👏 and amazing filming and editing as always!
Ken Done would ABSOLUTELY wear those fuzzy slippers too. You did a great job! 💕
Sha'an this is so cute!❤💙💛 Rocket is sensational behind the camera. Its so lovely to see you getting to focus on your painting in this relaxed style. 🥰🌈
I noticed you enjoy working on the floor. Which can be so amazing for our core muscles!
Have you ever looked into splurging and getting yourself a chanudai (Japanese floor table) or a cheap bamboo floor table from Amazon. Along with a table top easel. Your neck, mid low back and shoulder will thank you in a few years. It still gives all the benefits of working on the floor. I only think about these things because im healing from a repetitive stress injury.
Happy painting! 🎨🖌️
I think this will be a great addition to your home! and what is nice about this is the ability to change the painting by season if you feel you want something new after a few months
It hurts my heart to see you doubting your choices through the creative process of this piece, because I love everything you make. But it was a really nice view into your vulnerable side of creating that I can really really relate too. I guess it was nice to see someone going through the same thought process and same ups and downs within one piece. Thanks so much for sharing!!! Love how it came out!
Turned out so beautifully!!
This video has given me motivation to try finish off a painting I started last year and have just been procrastinating and distracting myself with other projects, than finishing it due to not really knowing what I want to final thing to look like. But I’m just going to go for it and see where it takes me
I really like the painting! It feels calming and whimsical at the same time. (And because I have an active imagination) I think that some kind of hermit/topiarist lives on the mountain and goes around trimming trees. ✨
I LOVED this video. I loved seeing your process on a big piece, and all the steps and ideas along the way, and I loved Rockets camera work. Thanks for making these lovely windows into your world for us🥲💕
Loved seeing your self critique. This gave me the confidence I was searching for to start a new idea I’ve had brewing in my head
This is so gorgeous! 😍 I’ve never worked anywhere near as big as this so I completely understand being scared 🥺
All of the music so suited this! Love when Rocket films as well, and I super love the color scheme/how the painting turned out yeesss ☁️☁️☁️ freedom in big creating for the win
The painting is so adorable! The pink showing through the branches and leaves of some of the trees is easily one of my favorite parts about it, along with how smooth that gradient was for the sky! I honestly wanna sit down in there and have a picnic; while the process might have had those stressful moments (unfortunate how the process doesn't always wanna work with us, a bit rude innit), the finished piece has so much fun and carefree energy to it. I have a huge wooden slab I'm dying to prep and paint and this just makes me want to paint more xD one week of college left before I finally get that time though
I live in Perth now but I'm from Sydney and have many happy memories of Pancakes at the Rocks! I love seeing Australian artists on CZcams.
Love your energy, wishing you and Rocket the best 🥰
I am absolutely in love with your art style!! And your energy.
When in doubt, (that’s what your feeling not fear) you can try project your additions onto your painting using a projector and transparency. That way you can see your idea without changing the painting. It’s just another way of allowing you to think the process through.
i love this painting so much and looks so sweet in your bedroom 🥰 I always find that I need a bit of space from my work sometimes before I find it cute because I’ve been looking at it for so long, but it’s so nice to look at things you make, especially those outside of your comfort zone, and actually love them
Love this Vlog! Love the art, the camera work and the music! 💖🎨🎥🎶
I love the painting & the red border looks so good
Omg new vlog! Perfect way to end my Sunday 🤍✨
Once again this is the best thing i've ever watched in my life
So cinematic!
Always the best music in your videos!
If you have some basic woodworking skills making your own canvases is not too difficult ~ we had to do that in our painting classes. It’s lot cheaper overall. Not inexpensive mind you…anyway i always love how you layer your paintings btw.
love the style of this vlog! also you're amazing and I never stop loving your work :)
YES. For some reason (there may be one I am just not aware of) the colour pencils jam up my sharpens so I just use a blade or knife now...Great to see you support one another He is developing your art and you are developing in his photograph...I agree critic respectfully as you both now know one another
Sometimes pencils have wax that i think can gum up sharpeners!
I was really hoping for a bit of Tonka!!! ❤ love the painting.
As usual I love the colors so much!!!
I love the golden trees that look like beehives :o)
Yayyyyyy been waiting 🤍
Super great and inspiring, as per usual 😊😊
I needed this so much
"You always support me but what about the TRUTH" 😂😂😂
I Love it its awsome🎉❤ and I got realy inspired thank you.😊
Ughhhhh this makes me want to get back into large scale painting.... Maybe even oil painting 👀
Beautiful video as always 😊😊😊
Have you ever thought that you might be allergic to paint or any other material you use? The paint is really cute, I was about to say that a little bit of red would be nice in the trees but then you painted the borders and that was a great idea.
Please please please, I MUST know what camera you used to film this and your more recent vlogs. I’ve been scowering the comments with no success 😂 Can’t tell if it’s just the colour grading or if the camera is different.
Have you tried cold press caster oil for your skin? I used it and it helped my skin a lot. Love your videos and I’m just reaching out to be helpful and hopefully help you relieve some pain.
something that can help w a critique is phrasing it as two likes and a wish
Question! how do you still love making art, even tho there is a lot of self-doubt and insecurity involved? Usually, it discourages me from doing any art
her: give me a critique!
him: NOOOOoooOOoOoOOOO
A note on critics, maybe Rocket is just not the best at it. You might find more help from an artist friend.
(He's certainly amazing at filming your process though.)
Or you'll have to learn to trust yourself. I find leaving a piece be for a few days helps me when I get stuck.
props to you I could not sit like that and paint for hours; I have to be sitting in a chair or standing lolol
น่ารักมากกกกกกกกกกกกกกก
You inspire me so much. You're literally the reason why I picked up gouache in the first place. I honestly don't use it as much these days but every time I see your videos I pick them up again. One day it'll stick ٩( 'ω' )و
I feel like you're missing a word in this sentence! Picked up what? :~)
@@helenm1085 haha thanks! :)
Does acrylic gouache work well on canvas? I never thought to use it on anything besides paper
It worked great!!! But i dont use oils or canvs or regular acrylic so i'm not comparing it to that.
150 Bucks for a Canvas??? O.o What
What camera make and model are you using in 23:23? I was looking for a lightweight slr camera with vintage vibes for traveling...seems like that may fit the bill. Love how cheery the final painting is!
Its contax g1!
Its a range finder not slr tho!
@@furrylittlepeach Ah I see the film compartment now! I love how magically nostalgic looking your photos came out. Thank you for the response. 💙
Does anyone knows what camera she is using 23:22 to take pictures? I really love how they come out
Did anyone catch the name of the artist mentioned at the start? Ken D-something?
ken done! ☆
What square space template did you use?
Love you so much!!!! But please water your mostera😅😭😭
Omg i'm so bad
Is it just me or the sound in this video is different? Like it is much better now? Am I right? Or?
I’m so sorry, but watching the last two videos made me ill. I love your content but please don’t make me barf. ❤
Agreed. You are super awesome but things were so shaky.
Sorry does anyone know what happen to her skin
She has eczema that flares up sometimes
