    I knew the startup took a high load but was shocked it went up again with switching off 👍🏻

      I can only think the glow plug comes on to burn the extra diesel left in the heater.. what else could it be?

    Your right about it burning the fuel off on the cooling down, but I have not idea Terry. That’s why I like these kind of videos 🎊

    Thank You for this video.
    I did just buy a Vevor 8Kw off Amazon (yesterday)(Apparently Vevor itself is a terrible company to purchase from but from a third party like Amazon is ok)
    Based partly on the claims of low power draw.
    I find this video very interesting as I am planning on installing this in my truck camper for "dry camping" (no services)
    Preserving battery power is one of the fundamental issues with that form of camping.
    While the 10 amps for 6 minutes on startup and for 3 minutes on shut down is not not be favourable, the 0.5 amps while running on low is...
    I would need to compare the amperage draw with my existing RV propane furnace to see what, if any sort power advantage there might be....
    It won't be an easy comparison as I would be comparing a continuous 0.5 amp draw to an intermittent 4?5? amp draw.

      Thanks for watching and the coment. I think the 8kw is actually 5kw..
      I bought the so called 8kw and it's exac6the same as the 5kw..
      Still excellent though...

    thanks for the info. I want to do a permanent mains powered setup with enogh battery for 24 hours in case of power cut. The power drop should set off the automatic shutdown sequence of the heater in case the power runs out completely. I want minimal effort, but I will make a nice neat setup. Can you recommend a suitable battery and charger combination? Or maybe an off the shelf UPS unit? I live in New Zealand.

      i only use a 95 amp hour 12v battery and a mains powered trickle charger , seems to work fine ,i have the trickle charger on all the time .if i lose power the battery will last quite a while before going flat. the battery seems to stay 100 % or near to 100 % all the time. i think my charger is only a small 2 amp output as well

      @@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC Hi, thanks for the quick reply. By 'quite a long time' are we talking 6 hours? 24/48 hrs? I want to do a setup that lasts 24 hrs in case of power cut. with a suitable battery / charger combination that will not overcharge/kill the battery and last for several years.

      @johnwinder2462 once running the heater will run over 50 hours no problem, on 100 amp battery. Without harm to battery..

      It's the fuel pump. Sounds worse on camera ,but can be Installed outside if it bothers you..

  • @Russiankgn
    @Russiankgn Před 5 měsíci +1

    You need to run it on high for at least two minutes before shut off

    • @VANFLIPPINGTASTIC
      @VANFLIPPINGTASTIC  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes ,but not every time .. its just to burn exce6 soot off. I do it once a week for 10 minutes.
