- This video sees footage I retrieved from an external hard drive that I thought was long lost . We see 71000 Duke of Gloucester on a Cumbrian Coastal Explorer, 6201 Princess Elizabeth on a Hadrian tour, 5690 Leander on Fellsman complete with a trespass idiot, 46115 on a Cotton Mill Express and 6201 Princess Elizabeth on a Cumbrian Mountain Express. The last shot had me seeing the heaviest rain I’ve ever experienced on the S&C in 15 years of filming .
Love the horses running TOWARDS the train (as if to watch it!) at the start.
Thanks Ian , I’ve seen those horses do that a few times over he years 😂
Wow! Really worthwhile recovery of superb footage. Thank you for posting.
FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC video my good and dear friend, it really is fantastic 🤩🤩🤩🤩. Like 83 👍!!!!!!
Some cracking shots and loco performances there Steve, you must be well pleased to have recovered these. Standout for me was that great performance from Leander at Ais Gill
Thanks Austin, I’d actually forgotten about most of them especially the sound Leander made up Aisgill 👍😂
Unbelievable footage keep them coming Stephen. 👍
Thanks Joseph 👍👍
Well found Steve, some cracking footage there, with a blasting soundtrack to go with it, especially from 6201, that is some "stack-talk". Many thanks for sharing, cheerz, Alan
Glad you enjoyed it Alan, didn’t expect to find most of the stuff I did so well pleased with the results. Pretty sure there’s a lot more 👍🎥
absolutely brilliant Stephen, thank you.
Thanks Terry 👍Much appreciated as always.
Nice video shots recovered from your drive Stephen. Enjoyable video. Cheers - Allan.
Glad you enjoyed it Allan , pretty sure there’s more to be discovered it’s just a bit of a pain finding it all 😟
Hello. The footage is excellent and I like how you say the where abouts. Lovely views such as wild boar fell from Aisgill.
Glad you enjoyed it Henry and thanks for the very kind words 👍
Super compilation Steve, hope to see some of those soon up this way.
I hope so too David especially 71000 🤞🎥
Pure magic. Brilliant footage. From before Tangmere. Lovely engine, but it must be tired.
Thanks Dave , glad to find the videos I must admit 👍Tangmere is going to be busy in the coming weeks I’d say.
@@TheStephengthompson it's a shame West Coast are dragging their feet with CDL and air brakes.
Great selection and what a find
Thanks Alistair, there’s a few more I’d like you to find it’s just time consuming getting at it .
@@TheStephengthompson Steve, I know what you mean. I am busy going through my photos I took on Saturday at the Moffat Classic Car show and I have an awful lot of photos to look at/edit.
Some good footage there, glad you found it!
Thanks for the kind comment and I’m sure there’s more to be found it’s just time consuming to get to it .
Nice video Steve :)
Cheers Simon 😊
Some cracking shots in there Steve, mainly working hard as so they used to do before the diesel pushers took hold, cheers Steve .
Thanks Steve , certainly got some great effort back then 👍🎥
