- This was a special piece that I designed for a really lovely person. They love reds and oranges so what better way to celebrate them and their colors - where red and orange are Neighbours on the rainbow. This one also found its way to the lovely Australia. Combing block color, lacing and lines to create a really interesting piece.

▶ Technique: Liquid Puddle Pour; Marble; Swiping
▶ Canvas size: 10x10 inches
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with a Pouring Medium for all techniques unless otherwise stated in the video. The ratio I use is 1:3:1 Paint/Medium/Water. I use Floetrol/Owatrol for my medium. For those creations that I use water only (again I will say so in the video so please watch the full video for more details) Water only creations use the ratio of 1:1 paint to water.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Red, Azo Orange, Yellow
Pebeo: Iridescent Precious Gold
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

Wow, that gold made this piece so vibrant and it makes the fact that all the yellow went over the edge really unimportant. The white "holes" between the red cells make it look like some bright light was shining through from behind. I would have loved to see more cells on the end result, but the piece is still very beautiful just the way it is. I hope the person who it is for will be super happy with their new painting. Like always, it was a joy to watch you create. Thanks for sharing 🖒💖

I am impressed Mark. This is pretty. Ive watched the video several times. I see you put more red than orange down, and in the dry version, there is just enough red. As far as the gold, it took over. In my opinion there is too much gold, but it does add a uniqueness to it. I would have wanted more red than gold. It is a smaller canvas and you lost two of the swipes. That one area of a red swipe is amazing. I do like the painting and Im sure the person you did it for will love and enjoy it too. After all, it comes from a special person like you. You are the best!

Ty is wondered how you got them so clean because my paint stained my wood ones lol
I really enjoyed the color pallete ND those cells in the swipe when you first did it are so killer. How do you get those cells to keep that amazing form after tilted? Will they distort if the paint too thin? I think that's why mine almost never stay nice after I spin or tilt is because I always seem to make my paints thinner. I think I'm worried thicker paint won't move around as nicely haha I would love your input on this.
Also curious, is it okay to make your CA thicker than the rest of your paints?? Thanks Mark. I really love this one 😁🥰
Thank you so much. Cells will keep there form by a couple of things; you take your time to tilt and “walk the paint” which means tilting from side to side slowly and moving it slowly. You might have seen me already do this. If the paint is too thin it will distort quicker. Also make sure
You have enough base coat to allow movement. It will start to distort if you don’t. Plus make sure your paints all all the same
Consistency including your CA 👍🏻🤩
