Hi, Colin! I think it's mainly a matter of scratch-building - trucks, bulldozers, heavy plant, HGVs, military vehicles... It's all about spending long hours in the shed! Tamiya make some basic 'starter' kits, but these guys have put some serious work into customising their vehicles, and many of them are completely original, built from home-drawn plans. As for your last thought about finding these amazing German war machines in England... Well, a lot of people went to quite a bit of trouble a few years back to stop them getting here! Sorry, that was a bad joke. We're all friends, now, which is why I'll be Subscribing to this Channel and giving this great video a thumbs-up! ;-)

@@UK4X4RC theres no henglong there, their all hand made 1:16 scale, you can buy them bergepanzer buffel off Peter Muller and the tank transporter lorry. But you'll need deep pockets
What scale are these? 1/16 , 1/24 hard to tell from vids. I noticed most tracked vehicles have rubber not metal tracks.
if you can't tell these are 1/16 scale tanks and the difference to toy grade rubber tracks to plastic/metal tracks with track pads, then this hobby isn't for you.

where do they get these
Big part of what you see is build by hand and some off them are from tamiya. The other things are modified out off a simpel base you can buy on the internet( just type in tamiya tank or henglong

This is a reasonable rc hobbie. Not actual speeds of 100 mph. Finesse is fun, cart wheeling at 100 mph is not.
