I don't know a lot about fashion or models, but from the clips I see of their walks on the runway, the wide majority (at least the well known ones), have their own signature walk. I've seen videos of people studying those walks, from the pace of the feet to the bounce, and sway of their hips, to the squaring of their shoulders. Some models are harder to mimic than others with their walk which is pretty cool. The bigger models have iconic walks, which do seem very uncomfortable. But, once again, this is just my theory.

you would think but this walk is so not common.. look at how far forward she leans from the waist while maintaining such a wide stride. The arm movement never swings that far backward.. the whole walk is designed with a look emphasizing forward momentum. Reminds me of a super villain.
"The Winter Soldier walk" is what a lot of people call it. Arms naturally swinging by her sides, a stride that is natural for her gait. She is walking in what most likely is the most natural for her body. I've also heard it called "The T2 walk".

Aside from the random joking comments here, I like this, because this is a more natural walk, and it works in essentially the same way as a cat walk does. It has it's own grace and vibe.
