I took the 5" circle target and placed a piece of 1" wide strip of duct tape vertically across the width of the circle for a reference point much like the trigger bar targets. At about 5 yards I shot this same drill with only a horizontal line across the center of the target. The result of eight rounds was one hole but left of center. I'm a right handed shooter and was working on trying to keep my shots centered so that is the reasoning behind placing the tape vertically. I backed up to 10 yards and addressed the target. I was able to keep a good group well within the circle but left of the tape. Not low, just left and a group about the size of a tennis ball. I felt like I was over powering the gun and driving my shots left instead of using the pliable hands. There was not one round on the right side of the tape. I finally noticed that I wrap the index finger of my support hand around the front of the trigger guard instead placing it under the guard and thought maybe I am putting just enough tension on the front of the gun with my support hand to induce a little awkward tension pushing left while breaking the shot. I am so used to shooting this way that it was difficult to make myself move my index finger but it changed my point of impact about 2" and got me back to the center of the target.
Thank you for all of videos. There is a lot of knowledge and helpful content here that really helps.

you may be helped by our Just Enough exercise which I've asked a video be done on soon. We have a couple classes this week so it may not be til later in the week or early next.
If you feel like you are trying to control the gun then you are reacting with the shot. Just Enough starts with minimal pressures (sometimes even just 2 fingers in our advanced students) and adds pressure a bit at a time. Students, even super advanced ones, find this mind blowing at how little they actually have to do and how much they have been over-doing _parts_ of their grip.
