    Thanks coach Kennie for excellent content in this channel. Some doubles rule deep-dive questions. 1. Does the receiving player always have to stand on his side of court? In other words, if he returns with his feet touching his partner's court, will it be opponent's point? 2. If you know initial serving and receiving positions of players, can you calculate back to determine their positions in mid-play?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  Před 2 lety +1

      1. As a recieved, you can only stand within the box you a re recieving from.
      2. You can calculate sure and that would be your anticipation of return. Hopefully, the anticipation is right😁🏸

    Hi Coach, sorry i have a question... if the server serve, does the receiver can move out from box to hit the shuttle... for example if the server serve a bit high and slow just over the net, then the receiver hit the shuttle near net to hot the shuttle to the ground... it is consider faul?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  Před 2 lety

      Firstly when the serve is near the net, its a giveaway so dont hit it & its an automatic point but if you’r unsure if its falling to the line or maybe accidentally hit it back, the rally goes on until someone misses. Once the shuttle is hit from the serve it has to go back in to the other side of the court😁🏸

    Hi Ma'am best regards, I'm always confused by who is receiving the opponent serve is it the last service or the one who is standing in service court.
    Example: Blue player is the last service and he serve at the right side now the service is over and the opponent needs to serve on the left side. Is it the blue player to receive maam? Or the player standing on the left side?

  • @play123videos
    @play123videos Před 2 lety +1

    A friend of mine is very flexible that he can do behind the back hitting. Sometimes he applies the same technique on his serves too. More like a behind the back serve by keeping the shuttlecock on his left hand & moving the racket behind his back (to the left/reverse) to hit it. Will that be considered a wrong serve ? or is it still ok ? 😅
    And I have two more doubts. 1. While in doubles & when I serve (or before I serve) can my co-player put his foot in my side (or box) ?
    2. Is long serve considered a foul in doubles ? I mean for a good long serve the shuttlecock has to be dropped from a good height na ? but according to the rules we can only keep the shuttle below our last rib (or waist) na ? that got me confused.

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  Před 2 lety +1

      I don’t think you’ll ever see any pro doing a behind the back serve simple bec it slows your movement for the next shot. Behind the back shots are fancy shots just something nice to look at and might possibly be done with a fast exchange but thats about it.
      Your partner can stand behind you when u serve even if 1 foot is in 1 box and the other foot on your side.
      Serving high for doubles is rare bec the back part is put for serve so when u make a high serve that is in mid court most likely your opponent gets the upperhand in attacking u! 😁🏸
