I look at these young girls and I feel compassion and a little sadness. They are searching. They are looking for the truth. And society is offering nothing but confusion. As a person born to Muslim parents, I hope I am not being ungrateful to Him through my deeds and words for the immense blessing of Islam. May Allah reward this imam for his work.

You will better understand that when you dig deeper. Have a good read of Ibn Qayyim about Beneficial knowledge or some of his books. Good recommendations!

@@muditkhanna8164 People who convert are usually happier with their lives. Knowing that they'll achieve that happiness, some Muslims spread the message of Islam. If you don't want to listen, then don't.
@@muditkhanna8164coexistence is a very good concept. Calling people towards the objective truth, so that everyone can test/argue that same truth and ponder over it. Through that process if someone gets convinced and ends up expecting it. Then that's even better; "There's no compulsion in religion"...
Plus we are all gonna die whether you follow the rules or not...

Comparing the mind being metaphysical to god being metaphysical is a weak argument as you would have to rely on a preconceived notion of the existence of god which defeats the purpose of the whole argument so you're basically to run before u can walk

I would say this is what some "some people" need. Usually highly educated people who have distanced themselves from the concept of Allah. They have erected layers and layers of obstructions between themselves and the divine. Our faith is not blind. As the Imam pointed out, everyone has access to this. Allah says blessed is one the who looks up at the stars and says you definitely have a creator. What the Imam is doing is pulling back all those layers of obstructions. But many of us never had them to begin with.

I did listened very carefully this debate, what a command of this debate by the man, he was so patient and answering questions right away with examples, and I also thankful to both girls studying for philosophy and having very healthy debate on “Prove God Exists”. I think this kind of debate should arrange in all Universities, so people can understand and get knowledge about God and respect about all of the religions.
I couldn’t agree more. I think for quite some time youth have been more prone to adopting atheistic beliefs simply because they tend to be “popular”.
However with video series like this one from ROR team, It’s so heartening to see videos like these presenting arguments in a format that’s easier for youth to connect with
thats because hes talking to undergrads who are still forming their views on things

Solid knowledge, calm collected demeanour. Al-Quran 16:125 "Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance." It was really stimulating to watch this discussion among intellectuals, listening and giving respect to one another.

Compare this conversation with any other dialogue in hydepark and you see the big Difference. There was no1 screaming "time it" or talking over each other. The biggest difference was the akhlaq. MasAllah very nice

We have our experience/"where we are coming from" and we derive our understanding from it. I liked both ladies as they were respectful, listening to what was being said and not interrupting (so unlike the types you see at Speakers Corner). Seeing our Imam and his Sign, they stopped because these ladies are the type who are looking for something. I have a good feeling about them and I can't wait to be surprised.
As a Muslim I have great respect for philosophy and those who study it, congratulations to that woman on that front. But, following the example of Golden Age Muslim Philosophers like Ibn Sina and Omar Khayyam, Ibn Rushd, Rumi and many many others, even Al Ghazali, the philosopher bane of philosophers (neoplatonists), I try to the best of my ability to temper it with my witness and faith. I believe if understood epistemically one can bolster the other. But I love that such high level conversation between disagreeing people can even happen in such a nuanced way in the first place.
Philosophy, science and religion coexisting in one instance that's Islam.

وَأَنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡمُنتَهَىٰ
And doesn't stop on
کلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
And
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
But takes you to
وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ
That is the purpose of the creation the souls are looking for.
To worship him , reflect His attributes, and have a living relationship with Him.

mashallah the eloquence in the speech, that's what a muslim needs to have if he is going to speak about Islam
As God Almighty says, “Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them in a way that is best. Surely, thy Lord knows best who has strayed from His way; and He knows those who are rightly guided.” (Holy Qur’an, 16:126)
Personally I just look at myself and I know I was created by god no one else like literally no other living creatures on this earth can create something like me , my muscles, my eyes , my bones , my whole human body as complex as it is so it’s just impossible so just reflecting on myself and nature , the moon , the mountains it’s like impossible to deny the existence of a superior force which is god
Maybe because I’m in science field 😂 so my thinking is more directed to science and biology
The verse that’s at the 7:00 minute mark (in the video) is always soooo astonishing to me! The Big Bang was not even theorized until recently (the past 100 years), yet the Holy Qur’an (which was revealed over 1,400 years ago) already described the Big Bang in clear, unambiguous terms. Subhanallah!
