Prior to the pregnant reveal if a player swings the camera to look behind Ellie while she's facing AWAY from Dina, Dina will sometimes grab her belly in discomfort but quickly stops if Ellie faces her in an attempt to hide it from Ellie.

The way she hides it, it reminds me of younger Ellie being sneaky behind the back of the player in yanking the toy for Sam back in the first game. There are a lot of these moments that happen in the background, but sometimes you can catch them in the corner of your eye. Or if you know when to look or sneak a look. It’s crazy awesome.

Yeah, the soundtrack is definitely not part of copyright luckily, you shouldn’t have to worry about muting during serious plot beats like that. I’ve watched countless other playthroughs and no one else has had an issue, even with the actual songs like what Joel and Ellie play on the guitar.

In the synagogue, Dina mentioned that her sister used to give her an apple dipped in honey... and that she was craving it. There are definitely little things you'll pick up on in your second playthrough once you know the whole story. There is a bunch of fantastic foreshadowing in the dialogue between characters as you're running around the city in general, but the first area in Seattle is where you get a surprising amount of it. This is really a brilliantly woven story and I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
Also, all the awards to Dina for cracking the 'Don't worry, it's not yours' joke right after dropping that tactical nuke on Ellie. I laughed so hard! None of the awards to Ellie for calling Dina a burden, though... that was so bad I literally gasped aloud and shouted 'Ellie, no!' when I played it the first time. This is such an interesting turn in the story, the character dynamics are so real it hurts. Like, Ellie would have NEVER let Dina put herself in danger like this if she'd known, but at the same time, I can see why Dina didn't want to say something prematurely. What a bombshell, baby! 🤣

Fr. Apparantly you can't even listen to the soundtrack of the game you're playing anymore. How does that even make sense, playing through the entire game is fine but small sections of the OST are too much?

The crazy thing is, content creators only help to get people to watch the originals.
Honestly "Dina-Nina" is an adorable nickname for Dina.
just so you know, most of the games OST is fine for copyright.. I made dozens of TLOU2 videos when the game came out, including a concept art montage set to the entire TLOU2 soundtrack, and it didn't get claimed.. the songs that are pop culture covers Ellie plays on guitar are another story though.. cheers 🍻
You get a few little context clues with Dina's situation. If you read Ellie's journal entries from while they're on the trail here, she talks about how Dina is sick. You also see Dina touch her stomach sometimes if you pan the camera just right (though she stops the moment you face her). And yeah, there's a couple times where she's visibly nauseated and then that one time she vomits instead of forcing it back down and fanning away the smell. But this game isn't about bebbehs. So like, nobody put the pieces together. Naughty Dog sure does like to do things sneakylike.
Eralia! I suggest you just keep your emotions raw, not letting the fear of copyright muting tamper with your reaction. If they mute it, they mute it. I think some of those moments may have been short enough or not copywrited content to begin with. Keep up the great work!

Naughty Dog is really good at building tension. The walk up the TV station, the bodies, the constant thumping, the music getting more and more intense the further up you go.
The reason you can't do upgrades on all those workbenches is because you're skipping a lot of loot. For example in the TV station that little room with the blood logo at the entrance has a large amount of parts and Ellie would've also added something to her notebook if you would've had a look at it.
59:46 I laughed out loud when you said this, I was like, just keep watching for one minute more and…. Boom! Bomb dropped by Dina!
There are signs, but they’re subtle, and when you’re not looking, like you can see her grip her stomach, seem out of sorts. But with the things you mentioned, the horse, her being nauseated by it… it all could be something else, there’s also that journal entry where Ellie writes that she thinks Dina is sick. But it’s like it could be anything, the fatigue of the journey, a cold, it’s like all the signs are there, but it can be explained by so many other things.
Anyway, a great episode as always, I love how you take the time to even read the “useless” lore on the walls of the abandoned places. It’s what really grounds this game in reality. So much just abandoned, left to a slow steady decay as nature over takes everything and wins out… eventually. It’s like what I imagine Pripyat/Chernobyl is like in the real world. Just a place where you can see what happens to the world after people.
The Scars introduction of sorts is a rollercoaster of emotion, I started typing something, but I removed it because I can’t quite recall now if you picked up on it so I’ll pocket that thought for now. Great place to leave off though, such a cliff hanger, well many of of us know what’s coming next, but it’s like a cliffhanger because it makes that much more anticipation for seeing your reaction to the part coming up! Here’s hoping it will be soon!
One thing I always have done in tlou games and I think I also would do if there was some sort of apocalypse and I was looking for supplies in houses. Is I always look around the house for pictures of the ppl who lived there. I always examine all the rooms to figure the personality that each person who lived there had. Sometimes I look around to see if I can tell what happened to them on our real day. If there is just toys left on the floor then u know they left in a hurry. If there is blood u know they r some of the people who didn't make it the 1st day. Sometimes the houses have calenders with days marked and if the outbreaks ay isn't marked on the calendar then they likely were awoken late at night and didn't have time to mark the calendar. Also if there is like food out or that was being cooked or ate u know they were getting ready to eat. There is just so much detail in the environment in this game. U could literally figure out so much about the ppl who lived in these places and what happened to them on that day if u pay close enough attention and do some detective work. Once went into a house there was food on the coffee table and there were toys in the ground so just by that ik they were eating lunch when it went down and likely a chills was playing or had just finished playing. One last thing some of the doors r kicked in so u can see if soldiers had kicked din the doors to evacuate ppl. ❤️

1:01:38 This scene when they first reach the theater is a master class in performance. I remember it so clearly during my first playthrough. I hung on every word and pause.
My favorite details:
• How Ellie fidgets when she's stressed /nervous.
• When she says "the only ones who know... knew" guts me every time.
• When she's standing close to Dina, they don't show their feet, but you can see that Ellie is sort of tapping Dina's foot with hers. I love that it's off camera but you can still feel it.
• "Well, you're a burden now" is one of those lines in a relationship you can never quite come back from. In my eyes, Ellie and Dina were simply a college-age romance, not a permanent coouple. I never felt the strong shipping that the rest of the Internet feels. They're very different people. Ellie makes jokes at Dina's expense. My reaction was - oh, this can't last. This isn't what Ellie wants.
• The MUSIC. There's a dissonant track that plays every time Ellie's revenge quest is consuming another piece of her, and I think this is the first instance of it. It's like the music is the wedge between her and her friends.

That guitar solo that you muted at 24:50 shouldn't have any copyright, it was written for the game so you should be in the clear, the only actual copyright in the game (I think) is in the start when Ellie is listing to music and later when she sings to Dina, everything else should be ok :)

So many people get caught up on the soda can combo. You literally have 2 options for the code. I thought this was the easiest one to solve.
The last two numbers could have been 1to5 and 1to5 as well so there where many more possible combinations.
Damn, I already know that this is going to be one of the best TLOU2 LPs I'm about to witness. Can't wait for what's coming next. You might want to throw away your Bingo card, because the game loves to throw you into these completely unexpected situations.

Had to start my own playthrough. Hard+ difficulty. It’s funny to play before you, so I can think of everything you’ll experince later! Juicy stuff! Can’t wait!! Soda can puzzle! You expression said it all, push the eject button, grap the disc, throw as far as you can 😂
I was totally surprised by Dinah's pregnancy too, but after 2 playthroughs and some videos I'm in awe of the foreshadowing.
Her sudden weak stomach when she was fine at first, the moment in the synagogue where she 'suddenly has a craving' (Dinah's words) for honey-coated apples, at one point she tries to get Ellie to eat and goes "I sound like my mom". As I said, the pregnancy surprised me quite a bit, but by the time she's vomiting over Tommy's dead horse (she'd seen Shimmer blown to bits earlier, remember, though she was definitely distracted by the chaos around the landmine) I remember thinking: "Wait, something's up with Dinah". I think she says something like "I might be getting sick or something too. " Of course the game is so good and engrossing that I 'd completely forgotten about it by this scene.
Worth replaying :) (and rewatching, especially on when it's eralia ;) ) Loving the videos, stumbled on them out of boredom and basically went on a binge.
