Like you, I've been collecting for near half a century, and I have a good memory of comics and mags that were available for $1-5 or in bins for years! These later issues, I have no memory of seeing at shows, cons, flea markets....#1-10 yes..but these? No. These are in the scarce category. beautiful video Shannon!

That #14 is a BLAZER....damn!! I like the idea of a bridge between Conquest and Battle. :-) Great books, great tales, great history lesson, bud.
    Class dismissed!

DrVonChilla Hey John.. Yep, #14 is inDEED a blazer ! As I said, I'd never heard of that artist before, but now that Im revisiting these beloved books , I might just have to do some research and find more of McNeil's work. Thanks for tuning in my friend !

Nice set of videos...man, the memories flooding back watching those roll by, you talking about them.
My original copies are around here somewhere, you're making me want to pull 'em out and read thru 'em !!
If anyone from Marvel is listening: you need to finish up the Terror on the POTA and TFHC series... somewhere I read Moench had ideas - buy 'em...make 'em...get the artists to...ahem...Ape the style of Ploog & Sutton...MAKE IT SO !! 😂

Michael Ashton I'm one of the lucky few that doesn't have a " mom threw my comics out " horror story lol

@@solid4stbend My mom, born in 1929, had original BATMAN comics (etc.) which would have been worth MILLIONS of dollars had she kept them . . . but during WW2 they had paper-drives, and people would regularly and patriotically give up old newspapers, magazines, and, yes, comic books for the war effort. When my brother and I, armed with the "ALL IN COLOR FOR A DIME" pricing guide, showed her what those old comics were worth by the late-'70s/early-'80s, she must've lamented not having kept at least SOME of them, if for no other reason than to sell them to a collector for tens of thousands per issue. I can't remember what BATMAN #1 was going for back around 1980, but it had to be in the $10,000 range at the least.
Well, at least we won the war!
