There are very few female Vocalist that can cover Janis Joplin or Joan Jett or Grace Slick or Ronnie James Dio she covers them all as good or better than original. Melody has incredible range and tone no other female vocalist can match.

I'm a huge Joan Jett fan, ever since The Runaways. She wasn't always the best singer or guitarist, but her stage presence was epic. Seen her live a few times and don't ever regret it. With that said, this cover blows the original away, like it was made for Melody. Ethan is really coming into his own as far as stage presence goes also and handles that bass like a boss.
I noticed he is playing with some attitude on this. He is becoming very acomplished on the bass.
Take it from this old bugger, that was so close to the original it was frightening. fantastic reaction Lee yet again, I just love this band. RORH 🤘🦇🦇🤘

Great reaction, Lee! You hit the nail on the head with Abby! No one has more fun behind the kit than Abigail! Every single one of their covers are the greatest tributes to the originals I have ever heard! Someone mentioned below about their cover of Master of Puppets which Papa Liliac mentioned the other day it was going to drop on March 5 and the clip was absolutely phenomenal! I watched an interview with the band. Pappa Liliac said if they were going to do a cover they had to do it 100% right. If they are not able to, they won't do it. I believe the approach all of their music with the same attitude. That is what makes them exceptional. Proof of that is Mars and Piece of my Heart live from Cummings GA. How many bands sound as good or better live than the studio versions.
It’s the energy they put into it. They don’t just stand and pout. This bands talent in their covers of great songs. Maybe the doubters should listen to some of their originals. It will be the songs the next generation covers, no doubt about it.

FANGtastic reaction, Lee! Joan Jett is two years older than me, and, when she was in the Runaways at 15, I had the hugest crush on her. I mean I was in love with her! But in this cover, Melody scares me half to death! She plays the character PERFECTLY. If I was her boyfriend, I'd be sure to get myself in line and do what she says, or else. BTW... You should check out their cover of Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody to Love". That fits her voice so well. I remember seeing them play at the Santa Monica Pier out here in Southern California way back before their career skyrocketed. I knew back then that they were going to go places. So glad they have gathered steam on their original stuff as well. 🤘✌

I knew you'd get to this one soon. I got excited when it premiered. This is a more grown up Liliac now that Justin and Ethan are teenagers. Getting better and better. Its like what Papa Liliac said in an interview, you get their attention with the covers and hook them with the originals. Mop coming? I've been looking forward ever since all those photos of the video set and since we voted for it also. Oh Steve she is great on bass and in certain songs she can rock out on it but if she can pass it to someone else and give it all in her individual performance then the stage and audience will be in the palm of her hand mate 😃👌

Stage presence and projection is why Melody wanted to not play on stage any longer if I remember right. I think it was a good choice. Ethan has that "bass player" presence and is growing very nicely into the roll. Not to take anything away from his general guitar playing mind you, I just like bassists. LOL And yes, Aby is the happiest drummer back there living the best life. BTW, their Enter Sandman cover has won over my son who is a Metallica fan so I think you are right about their covers.

Don't know who Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are? Does I Love Rock and Roll ring a bell? Joan started the Runaways and with Sandy West, and Lita Ford and Cheri Curry, the first successful all girl rock band! From the late 70's. Joan went into the Hall of Fame in 2015. And yes, Liliac cover the songs as well or better than the originals!

I love that they have switched it up melody not playing bass however it would sound so much fuller with another guitar and her on bass she looks cool asf!

They are from Ukraine and also do excellent covers ( they do put their own take on them )at the moment but apparently will be releasing their own songs later in the year. I believe they are mostly funded by playing on youtube at the moment. Halocene are a different unsigned band ( good also ) and their singer (addie) is the lady with the lighter hair in this video. Daria Zaritskaya is the darker haired one .Cheers mate !
