I do believe there is a lot of over consumption going on. I always pay my bills first, so that's not an issue. However, there is no way we (I) can ever use all of the stuff that we have. What happened to the days of carrying a bag until it wore out? At this stage of my life, there are bags I haven't used but once in 2 years. I still love them, so I don't want to get rid of them. If you are buying bags weekly, when do you get the chance to reuse any? That goes for everything that we buy. If I'm buying just to give away or not use, it's definitely wasteful and over consuming. It is also a form of hoarding.
I worry about over consumption, but it's because I don't have the proper space I need to store all my bags. They are just laying every where and I need a better storage system to properly use my bags. Also, I have bags that I haven't used so no I do feel like I am over consuming if I'm not using my bags. Great topic though. It's definitely one to think about.
It’s true for me. I have more than I need. But I love my novelties. Although I balance it with not buying other things in order to get the novelties I really want. I love collecting the novel things. But I scale back on other wants like eating out and splurging. I think balance is the key, just like having a hobby. 💕👜 you have the cutest dresses!
I am definitely guilty of overconsumption. I catch myself most of the time and throttle it back, but I'm going to spend on one thing or another, so I spend on what pleases me. As an empty nester, I invest and save MOST of my income, then spend the rest on essentials first, then on my wants. Luv that dress!!🥰🤩

I'm definitely guilty of over consumption but the bills get paid first always. Certain stores and sites really add to the problem so I avoid them as much as possible (Shein, Ross,Burlington, etc). I really am trying to balance enjoying what I have and buying new stuff. I'm also decluttering and I love it ❤.

But as they say the first step on the road to overcoming an addiction is to first admit you have an addiction. For me it’s cute pink things!!! I try to fill voids inside me with shopping knowing full well it won’t ever fill those voids, however I don’t buy just to buy. I don’t have friends I don’t go out I don’t smoke or drink, so for me shopping is all I got and I’m not in any financial trouble doing so, so I’m happy. Edit: we all have different interests in what we like to collect and I don’t see anything wrong in that, but you don’t ever have to put yourself in debt to enjoy your collecting.

I enjoy my cute coin purses and pouches from Claire’s and the DT 🌳. Unfortunately, I don’t utilize them as much as I should. If I really like an slg or pouch, I take forever to switch it out of my bag. I have items that are not being used. 😕

I don't over consume in my eyes. The pandemic made me realize life is short so if your bills are paid and everything at home is taken care of why not have fun. I do believe with handbags you have to give yourself a limit because if you don't carry your bags then you are just wasting money.
