Well just to clarify something other factors come in role too. Thar can beat a heavier scorpio and an innova even when they are heavier than that. Tire grip, BHP, torque and a lot of things are there. But Fortuner is a better tug vehicle than Thar no doubt.

This is one of the most stupid comparison of all. A car much more powerful, with bigger engine and more torque at lower rpm, wider tyre sections and more kerb weight will ofcourse be more planted. It's like if you compare a Toyota Fortuner to Mercedes G63 AMG 4X4. It would had been more fruitful to see how these cars are against each other on the same off roading track where the shorter wheel base of the thar, lighter weight and smaller turning radius would had shown how capable it truly is for the money you pit it for🙄
