My first exposure to this band was I went to a punk show and watched this really muscled out dude in a Cold Cave shirt rip some other dude's shirt off, so there you go, and I'm glad it happened.

Sound nothing like NO or JD... These have a sound of their own. Bin following NO and JD for 35 years and all 3 bands have very different sounds and emotions. This band has superb individual qualities so let's explore their own genius.
it doesn't matter that they're trying to sound like joy division/new order or whoever. the point is that they do it so well, and they're better than all that indie rock shit out there today.

I was about to post the exact same thing. The melodic progression is almost exactly the same as Goodbye Horses. This is just another new younger band influenced by their parents and older siblings music. At least they are copping good music. lol
I love it! it DOES sound very New Order/Joy Division...someone on here said it was a rip off of Your Silent Face, which it does sound very similar- however I don't think it's sacrilige..as I'd much rather listen to this than say..lady gaga or kesha or any of the other stuff on the radio now

@thajamison i was an AN/GUTG fan since ever, and i can't agree with you, hardcore will not last forever, in our lives and in the world, there's nothing wrong following different paths.
if a kid start a hardcore band i'll be glad, if a kid leave hardcore scene for something else i can't be mad at all so i'll be glad.

it's not the only song to have a similar sound to goodbye horses, and the verse vocals are straight off of a new order song (can't remember which one), HOWEVER -- i don't care, at all, because this band is great.

@jamsrep586 EDIT - I love their practiced look of disinterest as they their instruments too, as if the song bores even them. There's something so quintessentially "hipster" about looking bored while you perform.
the intro makes me think of Q Lazzarus ' Goodbye Horses' from the movie Silence of the Lambs .. But anyways, great song! funny that the guy behind noise/power-electronics act Prurient is with this band, kinda cool

oh don't pretend that sounding like a joy division/new order hybrid is a bad thing. saying that someone has a voice like ian curtis must be the highest of compliments.
they melt alot of those bands that were popular in the 80s new wave/post punk scene in this song but alot of other stuff they do sounds alot more original. take there compilation album cremations for example.

I understand what you mean, but I just want to point out that the tone of New Order's remained the same as Joy Division minus the vocal until their second album. Their early singles, EP and first album sounded very much like Joy Division and Movement could have very well be a Joy Division album.
