In this episode Arch Stephen Lutta and Arch Wycliff Waburiri talk to our guest Victor Thuku who is a Graduate Architect and Artificial Intelligence enthusiast on the place of AI in Architecture.
Very interesting. Marvelling at the good grasp and quick thinking while responding. Kudos! My take: Generally, uptake of new technology in the architectural space is frowned upon. Possibly due to the structure of the course which to some extent shies from programming/tech, besides CAD. The disconnect between architure and tech has evidently slowed down innovation in the field. Furthermore, other innovators/tech gurus lack domain knowledge. As of now, it's very difficult for an architect to venture into the AI formulation and creation space due to a lack of basic competencies. Hence, the bold architects are only limited to its application while the majority will be pussy footing.
