I still believe Dave Reuti did nothing wrong. He needed to finish the race to stay in the top 35, which guaranteed you a starting position at the time.
Manipulation of the outcome of a race is generally frowned upon in general. And yes, it's also wrong when NASCAR does it themselves. That being said, I lost all respect for David Reutimann that day. Yeah, I might be a little biased because Jeff Gordon was about to get his 86th career win that day, and Rick Hendrick's 200th win, but I still don't appreciate when people just stop on the racetrack just to put out a caution. It sets up a very dangerous situation that people don't seem to realize and often take for granted. Not to mention, it's pure gamesmanship.
