Those who advocate the practice of being “slain in the Spirit” need to consider what they are really attributing to the Holy Spirit. There is no biblical precedent for being “slain in the Spirit” as we see it practiced today.
We do not see this sort of thing taught or practiced anywhere in the Scripture.
Let’s look at and address some of what we do see:
When the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus at His baptism, we don’t see Him collapsing or speaking in tongues or vibrating uncontrollably. Jesus simply came up out of the water.
We also don’t see people touching believers so they can be “slain” in the Spirit.
We don’t see the Apostle Peter or the Apostle John touching people and causing them to fall over “slain” in the Spirit.
There was no stage or platform where random disciples would stand behind people being “slain” in order to catch them as they fell backward.
In the New Testament we do not see people lining up and waiting for the so called “anointing” or blessing to be given to them.
Obviously, there are various degrees of lunacy with all of this, but can anyone really see the Apostles of the first century running around taping people on their forehead or waving their coat at them?
In the New Testament we don’t see, nor do we have any hints of soft music or repetitive choruses being sung to set an atmosphere for the supposed “anointing” to fall. No one is yelling repetitive phrases like, “Fire!.
There is nothing in the Bible to lead us to regard these bodily affections as the legitimate effects of religious feelings, no such results followed the preaching of Christ or His apostles. We hear of no general outcries, fainting’s, convulsions, or ravings in the assemblies which they addressed…” It is evident that loud outcries and convulsions are inconsistent with these things, and therefore ought to be discouraged.
They cannot be from God, for He is not the author of confusion
The fruit of the Spirit is self-control. Anyone caught up in this “slain in the Spirit” practice needs to ask themselves whether or not God would give someone an experience by His Spirit that would be out of line with His nature, i.e. Self-Control?
We are also told this in Ephesians, “…but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; (Ephesians 5:18-19)
Being continually filled with the Spirit is a command. Being filled carries a meaning of being controlled or empowered by the Spirit. Being filled with the Holy Spirit gives a person self-control. It does not make a person inebriated or incapacitated. Some have made the claim that the experience they have had when being “slain in the Spirit” is the Joy of the Lord. However, scripture says that the Joy of the Lord is our strength, not weakness.
The Word of God commands all believers to test all things. Mature believers test the spirits. It is those who are infants or weak believers who either avoid testing or just don’t know yet how to test all things (Hebrews 5:13-14). They are easy prey for the enemy. Not growing towards spiritual maturity will lead you into these destructive and unbiblical practices. The proof that any “sign and wonder” is of God is that it must be completely consistent with the “word and testimony” of Scripture. Even though someone may have had a New Birth experience at some point, if they have not been properly discipled and have not learned the Word of God, nor managed to acquire discernment, they end up seeking manifestations of the Holy Spirit instead of seeking the Truth Himself.

The Bible verse which you have quoted here is absolutely true. But unfortunately it is not applicable here.
I am very sorry to say that you are comparing "slaining in the Spirit " & "speaking in tongues" to some cult practices, they might be doing these types of acts, however the difference is they do these things not by the Holy Spirit .
I want to make this very clear whatever happened in the PCNAK meeting when Andres Bisoni was ministering was truly from the HolySpirit. You believe it or you don't believe it doesn't matter at all that's your prespective hold on to it.
I believe it as the move of the HolySpirit. Of course, there are some so called claiming to be the servants of God who do some irrelevant things on the stage claiming it to be from the HolySpirit , then in such case we need to have the gift of discernment.
Speaking in tongues is a gift of HolySpirit wherein our spirit speaks directly to God as the HolySpirit leads . Even Satan cannot understand what we are speaking through the Holy Spirit we speak mysteries. Speaking in tongues for your information is a heavenly language .
Many churches discourage believers in doing so that's the reason today's pentecostal chruches are not having revivals because they don't allow the HolySpirit to take over.
Therefore If any bornagain pentecostal believer is anointed by the power of the HolySpirit there are chances they will slain but none of them break their neck or head or back the reason they fall is it is the power of God when it comes on a person who wants the touch that person cannot handle the power so he slains down. But that doesn't mean it's something else.
Henceforth ,before comparing speaking of tongues to some cult practices you should definitely have the gift of discernment not coming from your own wisdom but through the HolySpirit who teaches us and leads us in truth.
Because where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty.
And 1Corinthians ch 2 V-14 which clearly an answer to all the negative comments .

First You must provide bible texts that says its wrong, secondly you must reconcile what these bible verse mean where people fall under the presence of God.
      Joshua 5:14
      Ezekiel 1:28
      Mathew 17:6
      Acts 9:6
      Rev 1:17
Now not just God did this but men with God's presence also did this under God's instruction.
Acts 10:44(they fell after God instructed Peter to preach to them)
      Acts 8:14-17
      Acts 19:6
Don't criticise what you don't understand.
If its biblical then strange is Okay.
