X-point Old School MTG
This match is played according to a brand new MTG Old School format, X Point Old School. This format plays with a specific point system that challenges the players to think about what powerful spells they include in their decks. Curious about the format? Take a look at their FB page, / xptos

Always love seeing XPoints games!
🙌
Love the games! Great content, thanks Timmy.
👍
Ivory tower putting in that work!!!
🙌
I haven't watch the match yet, but I think that the Arabian agro deck is going to knock The Deck out cold. Even if The Deck players the abyss, the agro guy will burn The Deck out. Done deal
😎
Probably not. Maze of Ith, Desert, counter magic, ivory tower… it’s The Deck for a reason.
You should flip the bottom camera.
Pretty sure you can sacrifice the serendib to The Abyss before you choose to take the damage. Serendib doesn't state "at the beginning"
They changed the rules regarding upkeep triggers, “Then the active player gains priority the first time during their turn. Upkeep costs were formerly a specific type of cost paid for permanents in play "during your upkeep", but are now triggered abilities prompting for payments which activate at the beginning of the upkeep step.” It all goes on the stack at the start of your upkeep. 🤔
I liked the last in first out rules better than the stack mechanics that exist today.
Thanks for the upload. Always look forward to your old school content. Is there a particular old school format that rates above the rest? X points, 7 pts, Atlantic, EC etc
Here in the Netherlands, the majority plays Swedish with an open re-print policy, but its all up to the individual of course 🤷♂️ I think most people prefer what they are used to. In the end, the people that you play with are the most important.
@@TimmytheSorcerer that’s nice to know. I always thought Swedish was particular about reprint . So sometimes CEs are allowed?
Funny thing is that this format was created to prevent same decks to win games and this tournament was won by...The Deck. That means probably there is something wrong in the points that were assigned to the cards. :D
If you look back at the past finals you see a lot of different decks winning, but you do see certain cards coming back a lot. It’ll be interesting to see if the Deck wins again next month 🤔
Gotta love those wasp tokens. I was always a fan of The Hive!
Making a creature out of nowhere always has something magical 🤩
Best of luck to the finalists. Have a fine weekend. 🤘🦁🤘
🍻
In min 30, why he didn't use Regrowth for Psionic Blast for lethal? Am I missing something?
Ok I was confusing COP: Blue with COP: Green, sorry!
Brutal
Oh, the points system is the reason why the decks are so jank. I'm surprised the guy isn't playing Moat and The Abyss.
WASPS!!!
I've been rocking The Hive in Shandalar as of late.
Shandalar 🤩
Love X Points games but The Deck is so nauseating to watch.
In x-point's defense, you don't see the deck that often in the finals.
