- A trip on 7O02( Acton Yard to Tolworth ) from Acton Wells Jn to platform 17 Clapham Junction via Up South West, on to Up West London, Mitre Bridge, Shepherds Bush Station, Kensington Olympia Station, West Brompton Station, Imperial Wharf Station, 20 mph over Chelsea Bridge, a right turn at Latchmere No 1 Jn, up to Clapham Jn via Pigs Hill...
Love this video, I. much prefer watching Freight Trains run on these lines than the Faster main line Passenger routes. There is a character about them and you get the grass root feel of Rail transportation. Keep them coming mate.
Outstanding cab ride 👍
At the bottom of the fields where I live runs the Paddington to Penzance line. We get numerous class 59/66 pulling the Yeoman hoppers, it always amazes me how weight those engines can pull.
Following this trip on the track map book I now appreciate the complexities of getting a train from A to B in a fixed time.
great ufo's on the left
Brilliant sound quality, though you can perhaps see why drivers have sometime suggested that more cab soundproofing might have been an idea. That's an interesting arrangement with the signal at the beginning. Effectively two separate junctions under the control of one signal.
just awesome yet again i do so enjoy your vid s keep them comming
paul murray thanks for feedback

Thanks, it hadn't occurred to me that London Overground trains on the West London Line switch from AC to DC whilst moving, just before the line passes under the Westway!
Catching up on your back catalogue and I do prefer these cab rides compared to the ones shot forma camera attached to your head. The main thing is that we get to see all these single interconnecting lines from yards and depots that most public wouldn't get to see... makes for such an interesting video.
Great video, watched the whole thing and the last 5mins started to sound like a washing machine on spin cycle
Cheers !
Many thanks. I notice the picture quality of your videos is improving. Good. Please upload the rest of the journey to Tolworth Sidings.
The rest of the trip to Tolworth will be filmed at a later date cheers...
An interesting route. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Great video. I only subscribed to your You Tube page yesterday ( Australian time). I enjoy watching driver view videos. Please keep it up.Thanks.

Another great video.
Cheers !
Good video! Thanks.
Really enjoyed this! Many thanks.
midlandcompound1000 cheers !
Thoroughly enjoyable film footage of a route rarely seen. Oh, but what a truly lamentable state of weed control by Network Rail, given a few more months of inaction and train drivers won't be able to see the lines at all.
most of the chemicals used for weed control have been withdrawn ,I am a farmer and have seen most of the labels made illegal now
23:44 is the site of the old Fulham & Chelsea station which can be found on www.disused-stations.org.uk/c/chelsea_fulham/ where there is a photo of it in the 1930’s.
Thanks for info 👍
Again I followed on the London Railways Atlas… 😺😺😺😺😺
You know this driver is impatient because you can hear him revving up before the signal goes green
Great Video :)
Thanks !
It sounds amazing
Good video. One thing I’d like to know is where do you end up if you get a “junction one” indication from signal AW146 at the start?
Can you describe What a Class 66 or any locomotive like to drive light engine as per Driving with a full loaded train. Sorry about all my silly questions I am just fascinated.
Well with a light engine you drive faster & lighter, so you need quicker reactions than when driving with a plodding loaded train, you also have less brake force, so have to be aware when on cautionary signals, of braking distances...
I was a driver for Vic Rail lol, thats justabout what happens
At 11:40, were you climbing slightly. I noticed you had to give it some to get rolling....
27:46 that southern train must have been an east Croydon to Milton Keynes service
Was that the route the old Eurostars used to take to get to Waterloo from North Pole ?
Yes.
33,000 + views, well i never !
I'm still surprised by just how overgrown a lot of our track is.
Most of it is buddleia, it's a big menace trackside, in yards, on infrastructure, it should be banned from garden centres, and treated like Japanese Knotweed.
Freight Rambler what’s worst is that it apparently love poor soil...so it’s ideally adapted to rail tracks.
There's a lot of slack in the schedule for this service.
I see Monday 10th Sept service 777B left Acton 40 minutes late at 1350, yet arrived at Tolworth 2 minutes early.
All down to a good driver lol

Class 66s are like the agents car in Men In Black. There's a special secret button you can press concealed in the control lever.
At 23:00 is that Stamford bridge stadium
Yes it is
Great vid ,where is Pigs Hill ?
Just a few yards north of Clapham Junction, I think.
I lived in the area in the 1940's to the 1960's and the section of Latchmere Road where it goes steeply uphill to Clapham Common was locally known as Pig's Hill.
@@denisxx61 thanks
@@fbricher588 thanks
🚂👍
Heavy train?
Yep fully loaded...
Blimey. Chasing yellows must be really boring. The first AWS ping was 26 minutes in. I can only imagine how boring it gets on a longer journey
Sad that EWS (Early Warning System, sorry England Wales Scotland) is history since DB Schenker bought it :(
QPR ground at 23.24 ?
Stamford Bridge Chelsea
@@mattybrom ok , got you ( does the line run behind the 1970,s new stand or opposite side where tv cameras would film , back in my 70,s era ? )
It runs behind the East Stand (was redeveloped in time for the 74/75 season)
@@mattybrom ok, plus the little stand on its own would have been discarded same time .
Engelse namen zijn soms heel grappig ...Pigs Hill.
what a boring job to driving tons of steel !!
