Finally! A trance set that is trance and not corporate mainstream garbage. I hope that the dj, club & rave subculture comes back to its roots.
Trance has evolved and just because it sounds different then the tracks played in this set doesn't mean it's not Trance anymore.
And not all mainstream music is garbage.
They should make a tour together with vinyl player. That would be come back with huge explosion and success.....

@@Keza82 No, it's not. Everything that's played on ASOT is quality music and it's all good in its own way. And if you don't understand that, you're just deluded and don't know anything about music.
It reminds me of two old friends getting together in their man cave and playing their favourite tracks from before they were married and had 9 - 5 jobs.

I was a clubbing reviewer in Ibiza years ago and had the pleasure to interview Ferry in Amnesia. What an absolute legend and gentleman he was, I was told I'd only get 20 minutes, spent well over an hour answering my questions and telling me all about the golden days of Trance. Still one of my favourite memories of living on that crazy island.

Anyone else noticed that none of the two probably best dj's in the world didn't look like they'd try to pull the knobs or faders off of the mixer? Just pure enjoyment and love for the music here.
well when mixing vinyl, you have to, you know... do stuff... like actually find the right speed for the next track not just let the sync automatically get that done. So the mixer touches are real and not just for show.

Exhale was the perfect classic AF song to end on! One of my absolute favorite tracks of all time!!!!
...Also Exhale has one of the greatest trance music videos of all time, lol. Armin & Ferry get lost in England while they're there to play a show 😅
Man, i just loved how they went for those ''forgotten'' classics, they easily could have picked some rank1 stuff, some silence. You know, the big big hits from back in the days. But they did not do that at all. And that makes this even better to me!

Amazing set! This brings back memories of the time that DJs played real trance.
The first date I had with my wife was a Ferry Corsten show, march 2008! Now we have a daughter and I'm teaching her to like this type of music. It's good to have something new to show her.
