I have heard colonoscopies are brutal. Why do they not give some form of pain relief? I had a biopsy then a polyp removed from my womb just before lockdown with no anaesthetic and i thought it barbaric and i couldnt believe they do it that way in this day and age. I had to have another biopsy about 4 months ago and once again no anaesthetic whilst getting the biopsy.....its traumatic isnt it. Im now waiting for the camera and another biopsy under general as i will not get that done without help. X

I know I’m 3 years late. But I’m currently having tests to see if I do have crohn’s as I’m having stomach cramp and at the toilet often. I can fully relate to your anxiety as I have a lump in my cheek (they say it’s nothing) but I just have had it checked out 5+ times out of fear. Maybe with the shower thing it could be due to hot water. My skin itches when it’s so hot, does your skin also itch in a cold shower?

I never have a really hot shower, but I do know what you mean, sometimes when I sweat the itching is there too, it’s not as bad as it used to be but it catches me off guard as some day’s I’ll be ok but then bam it’s back again for no reason. When I saw my rheumatologist a couple years ago he did say the medication for my bile salt malabsorption can cause itching but he didn’t really go into detail. But I can’t really come off it because I need it to function and have a life 🤔 so I don’t know why it’s happening really
