I am doing this what u just said since last 10 years+. Instructors of gym always bring out so many weird Ideas to show their credit, but those are really fool and uneducated guys. you just need to raise your pulse and mobilize your joint before those 3/5 warm up set begins and that's it.

Zen says as a coach I do not recommend warm up not more than 120 seconds. Concentrate on your main individual events for best results
