I just sang along and it's a little frustrating because on the one hand I have a very similar voice to Johnny and I can match his pitch including the last verse and I have a nice Takamini, on the other hand I'm 70 and my hands get too stiff to make learning it comfortable.

I remember being like 10-11 years old sitting with my grandpa in his van in the middle of the night listening to some Johnny Cash Conway Twitty basically anything that was old country music he would have a beer in his hand and we would sit there and talk or sometimes just sit and it would be quit other than the music I'm 16 now and he been Gone for almost 2 years and what I would give to have that back or hug him and tell him i love him i miss you pops😥

My dads favorite artist and song...i had a hunch the other night that I needed to check on him because he had been napping all day. I walked up to him and grabbed his hand. It was ice cold and I shook his head. His lips we're blue and he wasnt breathing. I called 911 and they came over trying to calm me down. The night April 15th 2020 it was announced my beautiful country father had passed away. His funeral is in a few days and i know for sure he'll be buried with his cowboy hat and this song will be played. Im just glad that he passed peacefully in his sleep and he gets to see his momma again in heaven. I love you dad, fly high.

I had gone to the rock and roll Hall of Fame and looked around with my family. My mother had shown me Johnny Cash and I read the whole board of things about him. His most recent song before he died was playing on a tiny screen, his song Hurt, and I remember just crying really hard in front of everyone. I have always listened to him since. Now I am 13 and still listening to his music I love it but at the same time I feel like crying. ❤️
