How Bad is the Made in USA Craftsman 88 Piece Tool Set? - Review - • How Bad is the Made in...
This set is at Lowe's on sale for $99. This is the new and highly anticipated Overdrive Tool Set by Craftsman. This is a tool set made to have similar technology to the Mac RBRT tool line which is made for removing rusted and rounded bolts.
So is this Craftsman Set a great option for Mac RBRT for a fraction of the price on a budget? or is it just another cheap Taiwan product tool set from Craftsman?

I have a full set of the dual pawls sixt1y tooth marketed as 120 and I really like how smooth they are. the back drag isn't like snap on level but for the price at 100 bucks or so for all 3 they are really nice .

Not bad for that price. Thanks for watching!

They don't make the 120x anymore and one of mine broke so the replacement they are giving me under warranty is the new 180. Let's see how it goes

I’m planning to test the backlash in one real soon because I’m curious. It feels good though.

I have that exact set. The 3/8" rachet seems to have quite a bit more backdrag than the 1/4" and im not sure if thats normal or not. Great junkyard grab and go kit 👍

I have a gunmetal set with this rachets, honestly, i don't mind it but am aware of their place on my toolbox
Personally, i prefer to save my money and buy quality tools, craftsman is more of a disposable tool that i don't mind breaking or letting someone use...
I also have a tekton 3/8 drive set thats just fantastic, hands down best bang for your buck on the tool quality and quantity 👌🏾

The nostalgia, unfortunately is about it nowadays for me...

All the people saying craftsman has gone downhill never used craftsman and it shows. Been using them for 15 years and the new stuff works great and functions much better than the previous generations Sears Included.

It's fine, people just miss the old made in usa days. I dont blame them.

They have though and it Started at Sears when switched to Chinese manufacturing. I have a set from 2005 that I have beat the shit out of and keeps going. Deadblow hammer or 5ft cheater and the ratchet still works like new. Plus you could just repair them Sears sold repair kits if needed.Go ahead I have put my full 270lbs on them using a cheater still going. Most can't be repaired making them disposable. A lifetime warranty on something is okay but making them actually reliable and reusable is way better in this disposable society. You must be a kid if 15 years is all you got on them.

Craftsman is the top of her class from a good family gal that turned into a single mom with 3 kids ad a drug problem of the tool world......sears ruined it; Stanley flushed it.

Snap on are the best, and if I can’t, or won’t afford one, I will get harbor freight, gear wrench, or Carlisle from NAPA.

No argument there, I have snap on ratchets in my tool box. It is overkill for most people though.

I will never buy new Craftsman tools again. There's so many other Chinese made tools that are better and cheaper

      Powertorque, titan, gear wrench, tekton...
      The list goes on

@@MartinGonzalez-sl2kjgear wrench and tekton are just apex tools which makes Pittsburgh pro Maddox and Quinn and sometimes icon. these aren't Chinese they are taiwanese and honestly craftsman isn't made in the USA anymore and they were trying to do that again but just shut down the Texas craftsman plant. however I like a lot of what they have. not much more expensive than harbor freight but slightly better quality. the slide hammer kit for $130 is as good if not better than the Cornwell and gear wrench versions

Not made in China, but rather Taiwan. Thanks for watching!
