The situational awareness of the public in this chase was outstanding!! Hats off to all the people on the roadways that day. So uplifting to see! It's unfortunately a rarity nowadays.
I think they were all just terrified to move their cars at all. There were 25 police cars circling the area,blasting down neighborhood streets and even flying through the air and crashing, all with zero regard for anyone’s life. So yeah, the public was aware and stayed out of their way
I don't immediately pull off when the light turns green. I can't count the number of times I've had the right away and cars just flew through the red light.
Holy sh*t! That was the craziest chase I've seen all year. That rookie is an extremely good driver and very lucky to see this much excitement on his first day.

Also, extended periods of restricted breathing can suffocate someone especially when already depleted from activity and adrenaline. Was he fine? Probably. But it's just not necessary to use that situation. Lawsuits later on cost all the law abiding citizens hard earned money. I just saw a video where the cop said the same thing about talking and breathing. The man ended up with a severed spinal cord from the cop jamming his knee into the man's back and had a stroke from not breathing and all the stress
I salute the citizens of Arkansas for their respect for what's going on during a chase. I see them pull over and stop whenever they can. When a left is being taken by the runner and police I see traffic completely stop to let them go by. Hats off!!

The motors in those chargers r know to blow up they start tapping then knocking then they throw a rod threw the block & blow hot oil all over the exausht. This is why a lot of departments got rid of them. Plus the front ends dont hold up & wear out fast. The brakes r not big enough & the doors r so heavy & big they wear out the hinges then the doors dont close. Chrysler/Dodge should not have rushed the cars onto the market they where the first comp out with the new patrol car. Ford & chevy took almost half to 3/4 more of a year of testing before they brought out there cars

The police won't touch a gun if the suspect tossed it while running because the suspect can say he didn't have a gun and they will finger print it in those kinda cases. I’ve always wondered that, too. After a long, high-speed chase followed by a god-awful crash, and within a split second the driver has the door open and is running. How does that even happen? You’d think the airbag deployment would’ve knocked him down a little, but nooooo. The car has barely come to a stop and they’re out and running.

I feel you ...Google had a update about 5 years ago and ever since then maps has been garbage comparatively and talk to text and predictive typing has been even worse I don't understand this things are supposed to be getting more intuitive.... Also just to add and address some comments. This was more than a “stolen vehicle” pursuit. Earlier in the day officers attempted to pull over his buddy and he ran as well. Our suspect here got into the original pursuit and forced an officer off the road and wreck, that is Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

All new challengers need to come with a remote operated self destruct button to be triggered by the owner of the stolen vehicle. It always ends with the car destroyed anyway. Just cut out the need for the chase

And why I say ALL High Speed chases for stolen vehicles and pit maneuvers by police Should be Outlawed for police to initiate for such low value criminality because they put the general Public at High Risk and damage/destroy vehicles paid by American taxpayers.
For Violent Robberies that include assault with injury or death, Murder and kidnapping are Major Crimes that should be the ONLY time police should be allowed pursuits like this because the consequences for low level crimes are Not worth the risks Dangerous High Speed Pursuits are Not worth the possible consequences of death and injury to the public or the cops and criminals.
Their Must be Laws made to distinguish what crimes permit police to perform these H.S.P.'s and pit maneuvers and low level ones that shouldn't, because the injuries/deaths associated with the H.S.P.'s are NOT worth their usual outcomes.
Until this subject is seriously considered and Made Lawful Police Protocol the unnecessary injuries/deaths will continue Not to mention the lawsuits All entail just to subdue and arrest people for petty crimes like: petty theft, stolen vehicles/property, brawls etc, and Qualified Immunity for Police, Prosecutors, Judges etc, MUST be Absolutely Ended NOW!!

Y'know, when we see the ASP do pursuits on here, they always make it look so damn easy. They stay right behind the perp, doesn't matter the speed, then give them a nice Arkansas boop and end the pursuit. That first LRPD pursuit really shows just how damn hard and dangerous high-speed pursuits are. And how special the state troopers like the Byrdman really are.
LRPD doesn't have the horsepower that ASP does.
We need to make the penalty more severe for eluding... tack on another 3-5 years mandatory, no parole, no plea.. that must be served consecutively with any other charge. Way to GO ASP and Little Rock.
Add a year for every minute they flee.
It's a 6 year mandatory sentence now.

I agree with you 10,000 % percent. I think we should get Federal and State JUDGES, even the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) to make anyone who does a Carjacking and multiple victims, or even one carjacking and a lot of property damage--SHOULD GET THE DEATH PENALTY. One fool with a gun who goes on a "multiple-can-jacking-spree" can do hundreds of thousands or over a million dollars of property damage in a very short order. Because they steal a car that costs them nothing, then they use it as a weapon or battering ram to bulldoze their way through a lot of innocent car owner victims, who get hit, bumped, scratched, banged up, and even the Police can't get every single car owner insurance or crime-victim's compensation for their property damage. We Americans need to have a brainstorming session to think up ways to stop high-speed-eluders of the Police, Nationwide in short order. How about the Los Angeles CA TV Show "Bait-Car" do you all remember it? The technology used in those cars, to shut them down, maybe could be put in almost every new car sold in America, so that if the R.O. (Registered Owner) reported it stolen, either the Car Dealership, or Police, or Car Owner etc, could go on a computer and shut down the electronic ignition system, so that the car would not drive. Also see the new "Grappler-Device" invented in Canada. Every Police Car in America, should eventually be equipped with some type of grappler device to stop cars from behind or from the side etc. Just Google search it!
Mandatory or minimum Mandatory doesn't mean anything, judges can't still do whatever they want. Here's the problem and this happens in every state, sentences have time suspended because our jails and prisons are over crowded, it's a revolving door. We have so many criminals and not enough prisons hence everyone gets reduced time, republican and Democrat it all works the same. The public doesn't want to pay more in taxes for more workers, new facilities. Lots of our prisons are so old they need to be upgraded and done away with and unfortunately republican and Democrat leaders haven't done anything to help with this. If you want criminals to serve full sentences we need twice as many prisons because they will fill up quick. Here's a example, a 15 year sentence for robbery will be knocked down to 5 years, plea deals can do away with the minimum Mandatory charge. It's how the justice system has worked in every state for over two decades, only the most serious crimes are served their full sentence, murder as a example. I'm not saying all these crimes aren't serious but that's how it is, only the worst crimes. It sucks and will continue to happen until we build more prisons and jails

The "No cuffs in the ambulance" thing is a generalized rule for many ems departments. Thoughts are that if for some reason the pt has to be moved, i.e. an accident/ rollover in the rig, crews don't have cuff keys to do so. There are multiple other reasons why an officer should be with the suspect as well.
The jerk, Jadarian, got on my last nerve. He put everyone's well-being at risk and when he was finally caught now suddenly we're supposed to look after his well-being. Is that enough air for you, Jadarian? Would you like some water or something else to drink? How about a foot massage? How that just gets on my nerves.
