Honestly, here are 2 ending possibilities:
1.) She ends up getting possessed during a concert and kills herself on stage with the audience being cursed.
2.) She ends up freeing herself from the curse by killing someone that "feeds" the trauma, but leads her to lose her fame, reputation, and role as a celebrity: eventually being imprisoned like Robert Talley (the only survivor of the curse from the first film).
First ending is crazy , if happened so horror fans gonna mad like me
Facts!!! They really could’ve done a deep dive on the Smiler’s origin. We already know from the 1st movie what the outcome would be for this movie.

He is going to be one of the main characters apparently. He’s going to be a body guard for the singer or security guard at the concert and insider leaked have told me that he has a pretty large role in what happens throughout the story.
Maybe not main should I say but his character has a large impact which makes him sort of considered to be “main” but we won’t be following him the whole film or for that long at all; it’s just the effect he has on the film that’s large

I think the first movie's strengths weren't the story but rather the camera work and especially the sound design. I remember being in the cinema and the music and sounds were amazing and embracing. I can't wait for the sequel!!
For sure, the score was so brilliant that I bought the vinyl record for it. I rarely put it on though because of how scary it is compared to other scores.
Yes! this is what i have been thinking about the first movie aswell. Ok story, with no depth. but the directing, editing, sound, acting, and atmosphere was so cinematic and engrossing, i was never bored. Hopefully the story has some depth this time round.

No the story was strong too, it was a metaphor on compassion towards depressed people, how we dismiss their issues and tell them to force a smile on their face. And how this “curse” of mental illness can drive your work, friends, and family away from you
it had a great message as well about grief, and moving on from it from the main character
I hope that there will be another step and that the first part will remain simple. I hope that in this second part we will learn about this entity, where it came from, and what its exact story is, like the movie Alien

What I like the most the trailer is, after that mind-blowing head twist scare at the end of the first movie's trailer, this one's ending builds up to a similar jumpscare but nothing happens 😅
I feel like there is a subtlety missing here that the first film had. And I also feel the smiles in the first film were a little more unsettling for some reason compared to here.

Here comes another viral marketing campaign with various actors getting face cramps after smiling for a long time to promote this sequel. And I'm all FOR IT.
They've just started it's viral campaign last week. Paramount launched an official Instagram page acting as the music profile of Skye Riley (Naomi Scott's character), with the montages of her music and the tie-in single of "White Blood On Satin" releasing today. It's really cool imo 👍🏻. It's called Skye Riley Nation

Interesting, we’ll see if the bigger budget helps or hurts. First one succeeded largely in my mind because it was absolutely dread-filled and hopeless throughout and Sosie Bacon was amazing.
***edit: I looked it up and shockingly it looks like the budget is about the same as 2022, $17m. That is impressive as it looks very very polished from this trailer.

@@probaballyatashivaErm... practical effects? Even in the 80s, practical effects were used to do so much more than someone simply ripping own their face off, i.e. The Thing, The Fly, The Blob, Hellraiser, Alien, The Evil Dead. And some of these did it with a fraction of the budget that Smile 2 has.

I thought Smile was okay, but not that unsettling. The ending was the only part of the movie I thought was the most creative and near to perfection.
But one thing - the music from Utopia guy made the film.

I hope the first phase stays straightforward and there is a subsequent stage. I'm hoping that, similar to the film Alien, this second installment will teach us more about this creature, including its origins and precise narrative.
This has been the most creative horror movie franchise we’ve had since insidious in terms of ideas. If we get more hints at the demons true purpose, name and nature that would be awesome, I think the lore should expand with each movie but not absurdly of course. I am beyond hype, and the marketing for this movie has been creative

The 1st movie was brutally terrifying and i hope we get the same scareness and creepiness, but I'm hoping for this to be a better sequel though.

I always see the very first trailer and then stay away from the rest of the marketing. Therefore, I'm not completely blind. I hope this film does what the first did and chooses unsettling scares over jumpscares. E.g. the therapist scene and the stabbing the patient dream scene.

Part 1 scared me with all my heart for this life. The smiling scene in the dark kitchen gave me goosebumps. No movie in my life has ever scared me as much as this one.

@@PuccaDomi_Happy I watched the first SMILE on Amazon Prime Video. Yeah, it was pretty freaky. Mostly the ending. I was introduced to Naomi Scott through the film "Lemonade Mouth". But I mostly got reintroduced to her when she appeared as Kimberly in the 2017 "Power Rangers" movie by Lionsgate. I'm upset the sequels they had planned for that never got made. And of course, we've seen Naomi in the last "Charlie's Angels" movie.

But after seeing this trailer, and the fact Parker Finn returns in the directors chair, with what looks like a unique spin on the first movie's message, has piqued my interests. I saw the first one when it came out and lived alone at the time, I remember being SO creeped out I came home, turned on all my lights, showered with the lights on (not just my fairy lights) and slept with my nightlight 😂 No shame! Great movie!
