Watch your razor and razor blades if you shave. Most are made of stainless steel. Although they are pricier switch to a 5 grade Titanium alloy double edge razor, and make sure it doesn't have a magnet or stainless steel wrapped around the handle. These will be cheaper in price; the magnet contains nickel and cobalt. They start at 340.00 usually, high price but worth it. NEXT, copper. This razor will patina but its ok, it may need to be oiled periodically too. They don't use platinum to make razor but like solid 18k or 24k it is nickel free, fyI. As for the razor blades, opt for titanium or platinum coated. Unfortunately they are only made of stainless stell but at least the blades are coated. Don't leave the razor blades in the razor when done, and dry everything off. I hope this can help some more. Please consult the doctor always.

I guess this is not good when the career choice I made is machining. I am a Percision grinder /CNC programmer and operator. My father owns the company I've been there for 10 years and the irritation just keeps getting worse. It's On my face my hands and by my belts buckle. Time to see a doctor that doesn't keep treating it as a fungal irritation when it never go's away. Thanks for the video

SNAS.....systemic nickel allergy syndrome.....not a good thing, don't take nickel allergy lightly. If you have nickel allergy please avoid nickel contact....if you don't you may progressively become more sensitized, resulting for some with SNAS. The low nickel diet really sucks but it's the only thing that helped relieve my severe systemic symptoms

I got my belly button pierced about two months ago. Two days later I had a rash all over me. It started on my hands to my arms to my back to my knees to my thighs and my feet and belly. The rash on my belly isn't bad but my belly button itches a lot at night and my hands gets bump welps that turn into blisters that goes away after I take Benadryl. But my belly ring isn't infected. Though every time I wear earrings the knot forms around the earring and when I take it out clear puss comes out. So I never wear much jewelry. When I wear necklaces in the past I found that my neck gets itchy but no rash started. I have a allergy doctor appoint next week.

Be careful with MacBook aluminum because the anadised coating can wear off and the aluminum alloy is full of nickel in order to make it more brittle/less plastic and easier to machine in the factory.

just diagnose and so frustrated. information on the net seems contradictory and vague. how do I find a allergist that knows what the hell they're talking about.

There is nothing to be frustrated off. If you have to be in contact with nickel, use rubber gloves or something else that does not let nickel through. Put on salve on the area where the symtpoms are showing and take care of your skin. Then there is nothing to be worried about unless you get problems with breathing. I myself am working with nickel for 5 years now with contact every day. The most important thing is to know how you have to deal with it.
