The fact that the whole Naruto history took place in less than 100 years in mind-blowing. Ninjas must have been hitting their prime at eighteen. Dead by thirty. On average
Hashirama was the only shinobi Madara ever feared.
They did say a lot of ninja would die before they are old enough to drink
Yeah kakashi and itachi were what 12-15 while pulling off anbu missions as captains if i’m not wrong. Definitely tons of kids died
The reason tobiroma made the whole system ninjas especially leaf village go by. They were sent to battle before being a teenager
Before the villages kids were dying. That was Madara and Hashirama's dream. That kids no longer had to die in battle. Tobirama bought in and the school keeps kids in the academy til Genin where they get assigned to a team with a meaningful leader. This means they all live much longer than they did. However, they have a high death rate from 15-25. Old Shinobi are skilled, ever notice there aren't many old shinobi?
It's really a miracle that Onoki even was the Tsuchikage for so long and never experienced political pressure to step down concerning all his failures in warfare he had to take responsibility for
Yeah I mean who else at the stone village was strong enough to replace ohnoki?
yeah, it's pretty amazing that Onoki managed to stay as Tsuchikage for so long despite the failures and challenges he faced in warfare.
@@SOLDAT_MENDES true it’s not until 4th shinobi war that ohnoki realized what he was doing wrong all the time
yeah, it took Ohnoki until the 4th Shinobi War to realize his mistakes.@@Nanoassociation
The reason is that no other person was able to fly and molecularly kill people.
He was an autocrat
Remember. Ōnoki pulled a Superman and stopped a meteor from falling down.
Until Madara summoned a second one.
He also had gara helping him..
"but what will you do about the second one"
@joshmowery3626 sends chills down your spine
@joshmowery3626 The Sub and the Dub do that line so fucking hard.
yeah, Ōnoki's feat of stopping a meteor was impressive, but unfortunately, Madara's summoning of a second one proved to be too much to handle.
Onoki's back hurt because of carring the stone village throught the manga...
But why does this war's look like war wars 2❗❓🤔💡✌
Nah, DEADASS
Ōnoki is SO old that he encountered Madara Uchiha.
A young Madara that’s crazy
He probably met Kaguya too. One of her kids might even be his.
TWICE😂😂😂 how did he live to tell that story
And was still there for boruto
@@Itachisimplysuperiorlmaoo please tell me what itachis doing to madara
Nice to see the Hidden Stone getting some love. They did play a HUGE part in the course of history.
Ōnoki was the only kage that wasn't straight up embarrassed by Madara in the 4th war
onoki got a second meteor tho. imagine doing everything you can and just barely hanging on by a thread. only to get hit with "nicely done, here have another"
@@gregorylanger8350and he tanked that second meteor. 99% of the shinobi there died from the debris of the 2 meteors colliding, and onoki tanked it
@@alexanderzack3720 directly at that.
He took the brunt force of that entire meteor directly to his body, where anyone hit by debris is going to be taking NOTABLY less force from it.
Fucking beast mode.
@@alexanderzack3720not to mention he's super old old so he's past his prime
@@NagoBust just makes you realise how far above people like madara and hashirama were compared to other shinobi. when people like onoki, who´s far past his prime, still outclasses most other ninja
The Naruto timeline is weird as heck as things like Hashimara being Hokage for 20 +/- years just wouldn't make sense. However because I like to use Ōnoki as a measuring stick since we know his age, it really compresses the events of this universe, but also (1) shows just how chaotic the ninja world has in less then 70 years, you've had 3 separate world wars, each bloodier than the last, and (2), that Ōnoki was the only one smart and strong enough to last, being the living embodiment of the mountain his village was carved out of: Long lasting; impossible to move; slow to change; but incredibly useful and offering plenty of benefits as his leadership is probably why the Stone never fell to the same issues as the Sand.
well stated. true definition of character
This man understands how to keep us engaged and that's why he's my favorite Naruto CZcamsr
Yes. That's why Nick is no.1 & Naruto Explained is no.2. The rest are spread out.
Ya frfr
The power of his words is the same as Gaara on the war. Literally
@@susear5939I’d say NE is definitely more of a Boruto content creator. If you count them as the same though it’s cool. But yeah. Mr. Nick does really well longish term content. Sort of like Swagkage but actually uploads

Tobi: *Rewriting science textbook*

Sasuke's plot armor is the strongest character in the Narutoverse
plot armor
I am so glad this video finally came out. I was the one who emailed Nick to talk about Onoki.
Madara didn't fear Hashirama despite Hashirama being more powerful than him for sure. He respected Hashirama but knew what kind of person Hashirama was. They were literally friends and knew each other since about 11 years old when they first met until they were about 35 at the Valley of the end.
@-sageaegis-292no he didn't. Learn Naruto then talk you casual
@-sageaegis-292 no he wasn't Madara and Hashirama were friends first and enemies later by necessity. Fighting was necessary for Madara to grow and protect the Uchiha and for Hashirama to protect his clan and brother and also make more money because each side hired one after finding out the other was hired by an opposing side. I think they should explore this time far more low-key.
Okay maybe didn't fear but he knew Madara was stronger and has said it multiple times
@@christianm4876 Hashirama never said Madara was stronger. Madara praised Hashirama and mentioned he was stronger to gloat and even in general.
@@jamest1242r I said Madara admitted hashirama was stronger a couple of times
Ōnoki: *uses Dust Release on Sasuke*
Also Ōnoki: Another one bites the dust.
Plot armor: sike, ya thought bitch
As it should have been 😆
The fact he didn't kill Sauske is why I don't like Onoki
@@tomraineofmagigor3499its not onoki fault now is it?
Unfortunately, Sasuke's "Plot Armor" kekkei genkai ks stronger than Onoki's kekkei tota.
THE GOAT FINALLY GETTING SOME DAMN RESPECT
I wouldnt call any one a goat. That's a weird abbreviation. Being call a goat normally a insult. On top of which there is a demonic goat God. People praising other's and calling them goats very suspect. Not that it looks like people are taught this or know it. But yes it's very much a thing more of thing then that abbreviation.
I think it would be cool if you made a video doing the pros and cons of living in each village on a personal level. Like the stone houses of iwa are uncomfortable but the societal bonds are really strong.
Hidden Rain included I love Ame I think it's the best village story-wise.
It definitely looks the most advanced despite its size. Probably had to forgo tradition just to technologically weather the costs of the repeated wars on their land.
Yes please! I second this
Madara didn't fear Onoki, he just had the most respect for his abilities out of all the modern kage, as he was the only kage with any abilities that could counter some of Madara's "I'm bored you're dead" jutsu, and had survived long enough to have met eachother in life, which is no small feat for a ninja that never retired.
There are several very old ninja, but most of them quit working as shinobi while young, even the strongest ninja usually didn't make it past 50 while active, see Hanzo or Jiraiya.
ONOKI WAS NOT A MODERN KAGE. HE WAS AROUND IIN THE TIMES OF HASHIRAMA AND MADARA.
@@fbafoundationalbuck-broken6011 yet was still alive until boruto actually lol

Best Naruto talker, onoki was very powerful
Well done with this one. Of all social media influencers, you are one of the best. I appreciate all your hard work with gathering all the Naruto deep info and making sense of all the characters and cluttered timeline
It's always crazy when I'm reminded of how short Naruto's history is, for example naruto and minato were the 3rd 9tails Jinchuuriki's ever and the 2nd died very young.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. You made me care and respect a village and character I (prier to watching this video) cared very little about. I would love to see more video's like this one talking about the other villages core beliefs and Ideologize. We already know plenty of the will of fire of the leaf and the unity of the stone, but what are the equivalent of the water, lightning, and sand? Your passion is always so enthralling and it gets me hyped for whatever series you're talking about. Thank you
Its always a joy listening to you Nick. 👍🙏
I always loved the stone philosophy. U can only guess about the other villages but the leaf and stone were well explained.. too bad the stone isn't the main character lol
Thank you, pre watching this I’ve wanted this for so long. This man has seen so much
me and my fiancé just last night finished the arc in boruto with the akuta in the stone village and we cried like 5 times. crazy timing for this video (:
congratulations 🎊
For an arc that isn't even part of the manga, an incredible arc in the anime.
Btw, how can the main comment have been posted only 1 hour ago while the comment that responds to it was posted 2 hours ago ???

You cried while watching Minato's grandson?
@@kyurei4478 Boruto does have its moments with non manga material, and they pretty good ones.
Mitsuki's arc was also really good. it was a "Sauske Retrival" rip and while not as iconic of a story, it was excuted rather well,
Keep up the good work man, always a good listen while I'm farming!
Biggest plot hole in Naruto: there’s a flight jutsu easy enough for a kid to learn, but no one else ever tried to learn it
I mean you are assuming they had access to that. A valuable jutsu like that would likely be close guarded so very few people know how it works. You also would need people who could be trusted with that knowledge to have the proper affinity for it. Then there is a talent issue. What can take 1 person years or decades to learn someone else could figure it out in weeks or months.
But what's also more important is you assuming that others didn't know the technique at least at 1 point. Onoki's parent(s) and children probably knew it too but they died in times we didn't see. We know nothing about Tsunade's parents but there is no way that Hashirama and Mito's child would be anything less than a demon on the battlefield. There are just a ton off characters where we don't know the full extent of their abilities but logically they should have been incredibly powerful
Is probably a secret jutsu from Iwa, that's why only the most trusted can learn it, i mean just imagine if a traitor learned it, gave it to an enemy village and then that same village attacked Iwa with over a thousand flying ninjas raining ninjutsus like a rain, Iwagakure would be doom.
@@bdf1006 yeah probably within Iwa probably had it. And it could be a hidden jutsu that you can’t just learn on your own. But you’d imagine such an obviously useful jutsu, in a world full of geniuses who want to “master every jutsu” or whatever, would have been researched up and copied at some point lol
I think Nick did an example describing it or maybe it was Dygoknight. But essentially it’s not flight but levitation through buoyancy
Onoki uses dust release to make himself lighter than air, and dust release is a very rare ability even within Iwa. We only ever see two ninja capable of doing it, and they're both extremely feared because of it.
Nick's catch phrase is either something he dislikes about sasuke or "lets start this off where we tend to...at the beginning." the ladder of which i love and it really gets me involved in every single video. You're doing a great job Nick. You're the homie nick. I fw you heavy
Onoki was so far and away the strongest and most important Kage it makes you wonder just how strong Hiruzen was if he was supposed to be the strongest of the 5 Kage. The way Onoki carried the alliance vs. Madara and put the Gokage on his shoulders is wild.
IK that mf hiruzen was a DEMON in his prime. And he wasnt from a hax clan like most strong characters in the show
After watching the video, I don't know why, but it gave me the thought that the first Shinobi war mightve started BECAUSE Hashirama died. He was the pillar of strength that got the other villages to chill out. Without him they might've started acting up again.
I never agreed to the assumption that he died during the 1st SWW. So your comment does give me a bit of hope that we can figure out how he actually died...
@@opinanlosjovenesrd3477 it also keeps there from being some random, massively strong force that was both capable of killing Hashirama, but also not strong enough to define the world like Konaha kept doing.
Hashirama died of old age, or possibly like all OP characters, he gets inexplicably sick, then suddenly everyone starts killing for resources again.
@@handgun559 Hashirama had the same sort of healing as Tsunade or Naruto in Kyubi mode, and used it constantly, but without a tailed beast to feed it, it probably really screwed his cells' life cycles and caused issues in his organs.
Or maybe he just had a heart attack, they're not unusual in extremely athletic people, and the kind of exercise and stress Hashirama went through often would make cardiac failure very possible.
@@handgun559 I don't think Hashirama was OP. Maybe he was but my reasoning is. At times when you get to the top some people just out class everyone else. Like how you have genius's. TBF it makes more sense that he had more charka as he was a closer to the descendent where charka first came from in the first place. What makes less sense is farther down the line people having more charka. As blood line are much more mixed. Also Hashirma was brought up during war time. It makes that much more difference learning at a early age and you life depends on it with little protection but outright the children were being targeted.
@@fullercrane1795 it's absolute head canon, but based on how Hagiromo only intended humans to develop spiritual chakra control or whatever, mayhaps as time went on, regular humans slowly started developing the technique and know how to operate all forms of chakra like the otsuki. So for a long time only the descendants of Hagiromo actually could use intensely powerful bullshit, slowly other groups would learn what was innate in these other folk.
Great video definitely love learning about underrated characters

Onoki is no joke one of the best characters in Naruto. He's just in the background so much that if you don't pay maximum attention to what he says in the few moments where he speaks and don't understand how having lived the whole story of Naruto justifies his actions, you can easily miss it. Thanks for putting some light on this great character.
Totally agree 👍 It would be interesting to have a video comparing Prime Onoki and Prime Hiruzen since Hiruzen was considered the strongest ninja of his era . Onoki feats in the series were more impressive to me than Hiruzen so It would be interesting to see a match up between the 2.
Yeah, I have to say Hiruzen wasn't that impressive to me.

The funny thing is that this makes Ohnoki the longest-living person outside of an Uzimaki
Which uzimaki
@@cngotham4111 I was not referencing a particular uzumaki. But one of the things that they were known for was their longevity like Ashina the leader of their clan. I would venture a guess he was a good bit over 100 considering he's the only Uzumaki we've seen with gray hair. Even Mito I believe around 80 or so still had a full head of red hair when she passed. Then having some of the largest chakra pools contributed to that fact
This one was great! I would’ve like more screen time just due too particle style itself let alone the history you just rolled out
Onoki the true most underrated character by fans for real.
This video is extremely underrated. Don’t see many other vids on him tbh.
Failure is one thing, blessing of previous Kage is another, his attitude of the stone is the third by empowering others anytime they can be successful but wise. Lastly, if Madara wasn’t on 3 mega broken buffs, he’d have killed him too. Unfortunately, matchups do matter. Still unless you kill him, he’ll keep getting back up and figuring out how to get better and eventually win.

What I noticed when I rewatched Naruto Shippuden in the fight when Madara was first reanimated when Naruto used his Massive Rasen when is shows Madara he has a Rienegan when he doesn't have it yet
I loved this character a lot. It was great to see an old shinobi with godly attack powers. I even liked the Mitsuki retrieval arc in the Boruto anime filler simply because we got more of him and his character explored more. I almost never watch filler, but that was fun.
So Nick, I have a few questions involving the Yamanaka Clan & the Shadow Clone Jutsu. First one, if someone uses the Clan's Mind Transfer Jutsu & hits a Shadow Clone with it, what happens, particularly when they're dispelled? Does the consciousness go back to their body, does it go along with the memories to the user of the Shadow Clone? This has been bugging me. The 2nd question, is what if a Shadow Clone of a Yamanaka uses Mind Clone on someone then gets forcibly dispelled? What happens to that Clone's consciousness? Do they fade away as well? What happens to that Clone's memories since it wasn't in its body? 3rd question, what if a Yamanaka hits you with the Mind Transfer Jutsu, right as you activated the Shadow Clone Jutsu?... Do they get their transferred mind cloned? What happens when they dispel or the cloned Yamanaka personality gets sent back to the original personality inside of you, does it go to their body, does it go to the person who casted it, or does it disappear?...
I can't help but wonder about how this Shadow Clone Jutsu functions alongside the Yamanaka's Jutsu, I need to know with how much it's bugging me...
Loved the videos

I still can't understand how destroying a single bridge fucked over a nation who mostly use earth release that is mostly known for creating things like mud walls and literally movein the earth around createing craters within seconds lol
That was written before power scaling got out of hand. That was written between part 1 and 2
@@bobbob-zc1nx they literally could've just made a new bridge and it shouldn't be hard at all to pull off with platoon of high level ninjas that are expert Earth Release users lol
Just use Mud Wall horizontally and bam you got youself a new bridge xD
@JesseNightingale hate to say this, but it wasn't some tiny bridge. It was huge.
And long.
And bridges need proper structure and support.
In part 1 most ninja couldn't use jutsu at that scale, even together.
By the war arc the stone could've made a massive underground tunnel system in a couple of days, connecting the stone and grass villages with their mobile boulder jutsu.
Kishimoto kept escalating the power system.
@@bobbob-zc1nx cool and they could've made a long horizontal mud wall and make supprots for it Idk how even in earlier Naruto a PLATOOON of HIGH LEVEL ninjas couldn't pull this off lol
The only reason I could think of is the time needed to this would be alot and if there were fights going onnearby they wereloseing so they had no choice but to retreat but unless im forgetting something there was nothing going on near the bridge other than Minato and his group blowing it up so its still highly improbable that the village who again I will state are known for there EARTH RELEASE expertise during a war where mostly high level nunja are fighting should've been eaily capible of just making another bridge so you saying early naruto being power crept means nothing when there should plnty of Platoons able to just shit out a new bridge lol
@JesseNightingale bridges aren't that simple build and in the beginning of shippudden there weren't a platoon strong enough to make a bridge of that size. Things escalated in power later.
Large bridges require high skill to make, it's not simple.
Besides even if they had that many strong ninja, they wouldn't be constantly rebuilding a bridges that keeps getting destroyed, they'd be fighting in important battles.
The fact that you quoted Samuel L. Jackson when he was voice acting in Boondocks...yeah youre now and always should've been the #1.🔥💯😂
When?
The fence sitter my guy. Such an mvp during the ninja war.
He promised it and he delivered. Let’s go Nick! 🤙🏽😤
Interesting analysis.
But now i wonder how you feel about the direction Boruto took him in
from a normal humans stand point id totally get it he wasnt only trying to help the stone he saw that borutos generation wasnt filled to the brim with the power that previous generations had so he looked for a way the protect the ninja world before he died and didnt realize they would be like humans and have their own opinions and aspirations it didnt go against anything that happened in naruto
I just love that madara actually remembered onoki
To answer the question of the intro, The Legendary Shinobi is "The Ramen Guy" His Dojutsu is so damn strong and potent that he has to close both of his eyes, yet he still sees. Not only that, but he was in Minato's team and survived onslaught of village multiple times.
The doge is literally me xD
Hey nick shmirie again. Still hoping you take the time to cover chakra control and ninja with best chakra control. Really would help understand how a lot of jutsu work

Particle style really was OP

I feel like shinobi primes for the top echelon of ninja is like 25-45, with an almost unnoticeable drop-off (unless fighting someone else on the same level) up until about 55.
Have you ever considered doing a video on what would have happened if Madara had been made Hokage and stayed in the Leaf?
Whenever Obito and his team blew up the bridge, couldn't the enemy side just make another bridge using earth/rock jutsu? 🧐
Ōnoki has always been my boy.
He's in my top three characters alongside Tsunade and Orochimaru, the stone speech just got me.
