In his arena he can jump to pillars and dodges a lot, its part of gis moveset. And malenia Fans need to understand that scarlet aonia can not be input read by AI.

The biggest mistakes fromsoft did for an endgame boss was to give a midgame HP bar and for him to be poise broke by a gentle breeze

All Three Nihil working is not good tho, because it means decreasing 120% HP of every Boss. Only multi-stage Bosses would survive this.

she can lose if you repeat the fight with Maliketh enough times, but yeah, she still wins most of the time. Maliketh will walk straight into the scarlet nuke 9 out of 10 times lol, especially when not in his arena. It's been tested on other channel, he can actually win 2-3 rounds out of 10 in his arena

Really loved this vid, though curious about the effect where his max health reduction seemed to GIVE health.
I've seen this in other boss fight vids, and it's always curious.

Max health reduction is temporary and isn't on all his moves, I think, it just wore off.
@ttd0000 I thought that the first several vids, too, but nah.
You see it whenever he first connects with the reduction moves, and the reduction never takes effect. It also repeats on second-phase bosses.

Maliketh was the half-brother and sworn Shadow of Queen Marika, to whom she entrusted the Rune of Death. Ranni the Witch stole a fragment of the Rune of Death to forge the daggers used during the Night of the Black Knives, causing a series of events that resulted in the Shattering. After which, she gave the Blasphemous Claw to her brother Rykard, to give him the power to challenge Maliketh.
In order to ensure that the Rune of Death was never stolen (again), Maliketh bound the blade that contained it to his own flesh.
Bug: If Tarnished dies during the second phase with the "debuff" on, they will not spawn with max HP. This applies to cooperators as well.
Bug (rare): During the second phase, sometimes there is no music (probably related to co-op).

@@EldenRingFights both are okay. normally maybe keep the stun as it is the rule the original game employs. However, i appreciate it when you do something like this after the boring multitude of examples that maliketh die of said rule. It is a good “what if” experiment. You know what i mean? Sometimes “what ifs” are interesting, but only so because the original rule is interesting, otherwise ppl wont bother asking “what if”.

Ive always wondered why that one stab to the ground move gives health back to the enemies is it a glitch or is it just how the move is?🤔
Destined death (the red flame that does damage over time) makes the healthbar of whatever it hits 10% smaller. Usually this shows up as a gray area on the right side of the enemy's health bar, but for some reason it's not doing it in this video. The effect is temporary, so after a certain amount of time (30 seconds I think) the 10% comes back and the enemy gets that health back. It's just a coincidence that it happens on that move.

@@patrickboland2231 He could definitely defeat her. He missed half of his moveset in this video, and not even once did he use one of the black blade combos that could deal massive damage.
@@Toot7.Let's be real the pillars wouldn't have done anything there. He would've walked in to the aeonia 90% of the time. Plus this Maliketh is already buffed where they removed his phase 1 but he keeps its health.
@@Seregruthes Maybe it will be one of the 10% fights in which he avoids the flower.. who knows. He is also not buffed, he has full health but also missing part of his moveset which could affect the outcome in his favor. Sometimes 5k hp Maliketh in his arena does way better than Full hp Maliketh without his arena.
Life steal elden beast-is cool idea
If Maliketh went for his triple projectile attack while Malenia was doing her scarlet nuke, he would win. But overall she is stronger so the result is not surprising.

Yeah, he did do that quite a few times, and that's usually the decider if he wins. In terms of aggression and damage, I would consider him stronger. Malenia is just advantaged with her health and healing.
Malenia still owns and the Fire Giant almost beat him.
Malenia is broken against bosses because she has a heal. Here too she was lucky because Maliketh didn't use any of his combos and didn't have all of his moveset. However, Maliketh is the only one who can defeat her in 1v1, with his poor stats he can can take 4/10 and that’s good against a boss with (33k HP, 2 health bars, heal per hit, broken moves (clone, flower), waterfowl dance and hyper armor).
Starting her second phase with an undodgeable attack is broken by itself.
@@Toot7. Maliketh is also broken with Destined Death though. Without it, Radagon was able to defeat him (albeit with high difficulty).

For real, and it's not like Malenia beats him all the time. It's less about how many times and more about "is he within range of Scarlet Aeonia or not?" If he always tanks it, he always loses. If he always avoids it, he always wins.

All bosses vs Maliketh without the blade's Destined Death effect.
If you do that then give him 30k hp and infinite poise.
He'd probably still be better than most bosses without the added effect on the weapon. His attacks can be slow (depending on the attack that he's doing) at times, but he can still hit like a truck.
It’s been done before. He was still strong but couldn’t beat high tier bosses
Let it be noted that 'No stuns' meant that one of Malenia's advantages- her unique i-frames while stunned- was negated. Even then, she won against Maliketh. And before this is predicated on Scarlet Aeonia connecting, observe that she reduced Maliketh to 1/4ths health in her first phase. Furthermore, Maliketh did much more damage to her in P2 than she did to Maliketh with Aeonia.
No dark fire or deathly shadow is enough to match a sword, wielded with skill and intent, and the refusal to die behind it.

No. She has no when stunned or staggered. The amount of times i hit her instead of performing critical hit because she was unpredictably poise broken. She has only if and after you perform critical hit, while she is waking up from the ground. If she just kneels and you dont critical hit her she gets damaged. Also, if she has one hp left in first phase and you critical hit her, she does not die to trigger second phase. But if you normal hit her as she kneels, you kill her. So no, no /advantage denied. On the contrary, she benefits from not being stunned, which is a free hit for bosses who would not go for the critical hit. Of course, chances are scarlet aeonia still kills maliketh more often than not with or without stun. Therefore, scarlet aeonia is the cause of victory, not swordplay

Malenia will always win against any Bosses because of her second phase. unlike any other bosses, Malenia regain her full HP when entering her second phase, in addition to her lifesteal, she always win by outlasting her opponent. To make it fair, her second phase must be fought separately, considered as a different bosses. Therefore, her opponent will fight her with full HP too.
Similar to a video where Malenia only has one health bar amd hits phase 2 and 45-50% health, I think it would be fun to see all bosses have two health bars and fight Malenia. She'll still have more health than most bosses anyway.
Malenia's entire fight is a broken gimmick.
She just has way more than any other boss in Fromsoft.
Maliketh on the other hand is EXTREMELLY balanced, his Destined Death is so good is the reason he wins against Malenia.
@@streptococo4735 Fair enough. I always thought Maliketh was more impressive since he does so much with only 1/3 of Malenia's health. So his wins actually feel earned compared to Malenia who takes punishment only to heal it back. Or even if she is bested in phase 1, the scarlet nuke acts as a win button.

Can't say malenia is strong. She just got two hp bars. Only Rykard, Rennala and Malenia has two hp bars in this game. It makes no sense. Radahn, Rykard, Dragonlord, Elden Beast, Astel etc all look like the bosses that could have two hp bars and Fire Giant could take three. However, they have only one that is not very long. If they have a second phase, it uses only half hp bar. On the contrary, that not too big rotted demigod offspring Malenia could have a second phase with a brand new hp bar while his father the current elden lord Radagon only have one. In conclusion, she's not that strong, but favored by developer.
