Following The Marvels, Pixar’s Elemental and The Little Mermaid, Disney’s next big flop is the animated Wish - a movie which in a sense, celebrates Disney’s 100th anniversary, though there is very little to celebrate about how it is performing.
In this postmortem @AndreEinherjar will begin with a brief look at Disney’s most recent high profile flops, from Strange World to Wish, before exploring the revelations in the Company’s Form 10-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and finally, what Disney should do with these revelations.

I'm starting to think the "modern audience" is just a myth, an imaginary friend that only exists for the "creatives" behind these projects. Think about it . . .
The modern audience wants more visual human "diversity," prefers LGBT couples and ignores/despises heterosexual couples, wants Mary Sue and Karen women leading genres that normally male lead, enjoy being Lectured to about how women have it worse than men and how awful men are, that any thing can be a mantle, and as long as a character or historical figure being race swapped is going darker is fine or better simply because the character is darker even if historically or lore wise it doesn't make sense, history and lore don't matter anyway or basic logic for that matter, and dozens of other things that they apparently want to exist, but don't support or too small in number to support.
Does anyone else remember the 80's and 90's where we had character that were both visually and personality wise diverse? Has anyone seen the sales for romances novels, specifically heterosexual romances? Or noticed that most women don't want to watch other women that looked and "act like men"? Does anyone actually enjoy being Lectured to?

Men and Boys still like the same stuff they did 100 years ago and women and girls same. One of Disney's biggest mistakes was not cashing in on the whole Princess of Mars thing. The list of risk factors was NOT a call by Disney. There is no way Disney volunteered to put it in there. Their AUDITORS (I think Price Waterhouse) made them put it there or they would refuse to sign off on the 10k. PW auditors likely came requested or came across marketing reports that showed polls of their customers and audience that clearly showed them abandoning the company based off their political/social stances.
