- Hydraulic Lash Adjusters (HLA) components and Operation. HLA automatically adjust the valve clearance (valve lash) in a car to account for the thermal expansion of the valves. Regular clearance adjustment is, therefore, not required. Other name - hydraulic tappet, hydraulic valve tappet, hydraulic lifter.

Hello! My name is Vlad and I am the author of this video (This video is the first to be translated and voiced into English). I would be grateful if you rate the translation and sound in the video.
Also, wait for new videos - there will be a lot of them;) Enjoy watching!
The translation itself is fine but the voice is obviously not that of a real person.
Id rate this very high- excellent animation and description.

Hey Vlad, Eugen here. Great video and audio track. Synthetic voice (a bit American?) but perfectly OK. Any chance you make one for the small HLA (Mazda skyactive etc)?
Sehr schön gemacht

I hope sir,lot of presentation coming.
Does it matter which way you turn the oil entrance port when installing the lifters?
How about rotation of lifter?
Shouldn't rotate driven by camshaft?
Could someone explain 3:50 what does he mean by valves stop expanding?
I wait for new video
hi..is it possible to fit 'new' lash tappets whithout first priming them whith oil? will thay fill up if engine turned over fast ,using the starter motor whithout ignition?
they can be put into the engine empty, but typically can't be primed by using the starter motor, because the cold engine oil is too thich to flow into the tappets. But this is not a problem, simply start the engine normally, let it warm up, and within a few minutes you will hear them quiet down when they are filled with oil.
But why does it even throw fluid through that spot it need to be thrown between cam and lifter
Jgb.....
This is dumb it's going to wear down really fast
