2. It was stated by the director that Godzilla would've bodied Mecha-G if he was at full strength but unfortunately all that running around trying to figure out what monarch was doing and the straight up brawling with Kong had him somewhat fatigued

Apparently in the novelization of the movie Kongs people started hunting other Kaiju for sport and Godzilla ended all of them to restore the balance on some Thanos type shit. That’s why kongs parents fled to skull island

And the reason is because Kongs species was becoming too advanced and it threw off the natural order so about half of them were killed by hundreds of Godzillas species and the rest escaped to skull Island where they were massacred by the skull crawlers which at the time the Kongs were a lot smaller and weaker. Kong was able to slowly kill them off throughout his life though. And Godzillas species was killed by the mutos and possibly scar king and shimu.

The director literally said that godzilla spent almost half of his power to blast a hole from hong kong to the hollow earth so king kong and him can brawl it out. Godzilla was already at 50% when they started the fight and he STILL won against kong

This movie had Kong with the best feats hes had in any movie, showed his durability (being able to get hit by Godzilla's atomic breath and brush it off) Kong also hit Godzilla so hard in the face he made him splatter out blood, as well as dropping kicking godzilla through a whole building (Godzilla weighs over 100,000 tons and Kong was still able to drop kick him)

All of those attacks were shrugged off lol which makes sense considering he's been hit harder and by worse. This movie was definitely more about showing kings growth and not about him actually being a challenger

Godzilla always had trouble when dealing with all versions Mechagodzilla Showa, Heisei and millennium. Godzilla uselly needed help from another monster or a powerup to defeat his mechanical counterpart so im glade they kept that trait about Mechagodzilla.
Technically it was Mecha G who got a handicap in this one, because G was drained from spamming all of his atomic breaths at Kong, especially the one that made a hole to Hollow Earth that was big enough for Kong to climb through (imagine of Kong got hit with THAT breath, it would have completely cooked him). G at 100% would have wrecked Mecha G.

We showed up for Godzilla vs Kong. However, when Mecha Godzilla was introduced he came to Godzilla's house and put his hands on him. I got HBO Max and watched it with my dad. Everytime I think about this moment I remember both of us got dead quiet just watching and then my dad looks at me and says "Godzilla kinda gett'n whooped, ain't he?" Like y'all we started doing a "Play by Play". Go back and watch it, Mecha Godzilla threw a F'ing MMA knee on Godzilla. He literally dragged this man in front of us.😂😂😂

Kong was grown in this movie, and Godzilla was honestly downsized alot to make the fight somewhat fair
Even the smallest godzilla is still larder than kong. And the largest godzilla ( Earth Godzilla) makes fhe ocean look like a kiddies pool
It's not that Godzilla got downsized. He actually was made taller in KOTM (393 feet) compared to Godzilla 2014 (354 feet), the problem is in Godzilla 2014, he was severely overscaled to be bigger than he was actually supposed to be. This comes from the director (Gareth Edwards) himself that the people in charge of scaling Godzilla fucked up. It just took until KOTM to make Godzilla accurately look his size while also making him larger. The buildings in the Hong Kong scene are known to be 1000+ feet in real life, so they're supposed to be taller than Godzilla. Combine that with the fact that Kong in this movie is now a fully grown adult standing at 335 feet, making them more comparable in size. Also the smallest Godzilla, that being the original was only 164 feet tall, making him only 2 feet taller than teen Kong in Skull Island. This older Kong is big enough to straight up step on him like a bug lol. Literally the only versions of Godzilla taller than this Kong are this new one, Shin Godzilla, and Earth Godzilla

I know many want Kong to get his get back. Truth be told this was Godzilla's get back. In the old school ones Godzilla lost to Kong. If I'm not mistaken he lost to Kong twice.
depended on what version of the movie you watched. The US version had Kong win, the Japanese version had Godzilla win.
