The Kraken has a minigame when it wraps to make it let go. It'll let go if you do damage to any tentacle. When it wraps your boat, a tentacle gets cheeky and goes RIGHT UP to a cannon on either side like whack a mole. If you hit this tentacle enough times with the cannon it just lets go. You never have to hit the actual wrapping tentacle.
Top Tip: don’t attack a wrapped tentacle, tentacles come up right next to the cannons 1 at a time, you have to kill 2-3 in sequence either side of your ship and the tentacle will unwrap, shooting and stabbing the wrapped tentacle is a waste of time that just leaves you vulnerable

The kraken scales with crew size, just like the pirate lords. The larger the max crew size (sloop/brig/galleon), the harder it is. Side note, when wrapped, aimed for the head that appears the closest to the ship. That will be the head of the wrapped tentacle.
When fighting the kraken and it wraps around your ship. Shoot the closest tentacle to your ship. It’ll do more damage than shooting the part of the tentacle that wrapped around your ship. Also when shooting with you guns, aim for the head of the kraken’s tentacle.
a tip for fighting the kraken is when it wraps you, shoot cannon balls at the nearest tentacle because that's the same tentacle as the one on your ship
To remove the tentacle that wraps around the ship, shooting it won't get it out (it takes too much damage). You need to shoot the tentacle head that rises from the sides of the ship or lays on the ship, shooting them down with one cannonball or two will make them retract, doing it 2 or 3 times gets the wrapped tentacle out.

I wish one of treasures were like "we dug our treasure under ground and placed our banner to mark its location of our past" then you go there unable to find banner. then after long search you notice flag is gone long ago when you find it lying on ground in diffrent location :D

The first time I got krackened me and my friend fended it off in 1 and a hf mins. We didnt hear it, or see it, but the kracken hit our boat once and we sank while in the water
16:25 the same shit happened to me when I was doing number three. I was about two minutes away from the last island and it failed me, I got there and the key just wasn't there. I was so pissed. But I'm glad to see it wasn't just me.
You can just sword the kraken when it eats you, shoot the tip of the wrapping tentacles, and krakens are easier if you're on a sloop. Otherwise each piece has double health if it's summoned on top of the other two boats. Also it doesn't help that only 1/3 crewmates were doing things at a time.
